You gotta heal up first :thumb: Nothing wrong with taking some time off.I feel like I've abandoned this thread
I'm still hitting the gym. Just not with the same intensity, I'm really hoping to get back under a squat bar next week as I've taken a few off to see what my back does. It'll be light that's for sure. Last time I tried squats 135 hurt

Hey burn i did that chalk and rubbing alcohol trick but I guess I need I need legit lifting chalk lol. Blended sidewalk chalk is to gritty still
I found those bottles at walmart in the camping section for 4 bucks. There smaller though. There's a 4 ounce one that will work good I just need good chalk now lol.
Yeah f a notepad I just write on the walls lol. Orange sidewalk chalk works the best it's a dollar for a box at walmart lol. Orange seems to be the softest:thumb:No wonder they won't let you have chalk in your gym, your drawing all over everything:rofl:
Yes get some good lifting chalk. I had to order mine on line, but now REI carries it in town here.
Nice, always something to be positive about if you want to... Did you get a second opinion on your back yet?

I have been doing Cat/Camels and Airplanes to help my back feel better:thumb: Seems to be working as I'm gonna squat twice a week now.

Nice Nick you have really made some nice jumps in weight. Still using a coach?
Ya it was weird 199lbs felt really tough I dropped to 195lbs 4 workouts ago for the 2 and 3rd sets of 5. Then went to 200lbs which felt good. 205lbs felt good and 210lbs today felt much more stable and not easy but easier. I have some weird genetic mutation where I have a bone bump on each of my shoulder blades so the bar rests there and 200+ lbs and rigid bone ****i.n hurts. I haven't been working with my coach lately Albert.
That was going to be my question as well...Are you doing high or low bar style squats?
Nick, try moving the bar up some on your shoulder, If it hurts adjust it up some... You can go semi low bar or go strict high bar. lots of big weight movers use a semi low position, John Haack comes to mind. Nothing wrong with high bar either bud.Low bar
