Funny little story on my dips. I have known a fella by the name of Ben Brent for awhile now. He is a multi time world champion powerlifter and a IPF world and national ref. Suffice to say he knows his sh*t to say the least. Anyway I start doing my warm up on dips and he comes over to offer a tip. Ben says "your plenty strong with a normal dip", eyeing the 100 pounder I had lined up. Ben tells me to reverse my grip and just do body weight to start. They were hard and about all I wanted with BW and being sick. They engage the sh*t out of your outer pec and front delt which as he mentioned is where my sticking point is on bench (the transition from delt/pec to tricep). Also he offered some tips on straight bar tricep extensions, "flex the wrist at the bottom, it works the inner tri"
So onto the rest of this wo...

So 3 hours later... Alot of BS'ing with Ben. I was done wrecking myself. Even being sick, I still feel very strong, so I think my training is solid. And it's not every day you get to chat with a multi world champion/world record holder:thumb: He also was very impressed with my bench press, that was super nice:hug:
Here is Ben Squatting 225 cold no warm up at 77 years old, oh ya and he had his left knee replaced 3 years ago:thumb:
