Had a very quick workout today, just got squats in, Gf wasn't feeling great so we left early.
But, 445x5 today, **** yes. Fourth rep I notice some guy looking at me and somehow equated that to I must be going high, so sunk it, went slow and almost got stuck mid way up Oops
We did pull ups on a really wide diameter pull up bar yesterday. Killed my grip before deads. Was gonna try to get 385 for 5x5 and couldn't hang onto it. So i just dropped to 315 and did 4x8.
Man I'm so jealous of your squat & deadlifts, great numbers:thumb:
I think after this 12 week cycle I'm on I will finally break that stinkin 400+ squat.
I use straps when my grip is wrecked... That way I'm still getting the work done that is needed.
Camaro straps... I like itFor me, the 445 weight, is always a horrible weight wall. For some reason two 10lb plates on each side drives me nuts, if I can get 455 this weekend its smooth sailing to 500 land.
I use old seat belts from my camaro, they are brutal to my wrists but after you have a strap snap when you don't expect it... you stop using cheap crap
Would love a set of spud straps or similar, one day.

I broke some cheap straps once... Luckily I caught it before I gave her the Heave
I'm using some Rogue leather straps that seem bomb proof for now... I have heard good things about the Spud straps.
Need to start eating cleaner.. Isn't any fun

I had ~500 with some cheapo straps and the one let go, weight dropped and I kinda flung over to the other side. Was an embarrassing wake up call.
Thats why wearing head phones is so important, if the music is loud enough, you can't hear anything anyways!

Speaking of embarrassing. I was squatting this last sesh and there was a fairly cute girl using the leg press directly behind my squat rack... As you can guess, I blew ass in the bottom of the hole. F-it I just kept going:rofl:

Last time I let out one of those quick slapping sounding ones during some heavy front squats and the gym owner heard it and asked me what that clicking noise was so I played it off like it was my knees and ankles not being warmed up :rofl:
