If a vegan does crossfit, which do they tell everyone about first?? :D

I would look into any of the starting strength programs, I started with a Bill Starr 5x5 program. Just be sure to check the ego at the door and nail down your form. Your body will thank you late.

I did a 445x3 squat yesterday, prob gonna deload after the volume day.

Crossfitters are paleo yo:D

Agreed on checking your ego... Some of the best advice yet.

I started powerlifting at 15. Did it until the blown disc at 23. When you rig machinery for a living and other shit work it's hard to justify lifting to heavy when your lively hood depends on working. Oh,and a 12 foot fall onto a steel catwalk,7 injections in 8 years sucks. I wish I could hit it hard again like yall. Little jealous I guess. I remember 500 plus pound deadlifts.........

That really blows.

Diet will get you where you want to go, but its difficult. I've been as big as a very soft 232 and as good as a single digit 183. It's all diet.

I know all about bad backs. When I was 15 I crashed my quad running from the cops and shattered my L5. It took 9.5 hours, 3 rods, 4 screws, and bone from my hip to fix it. 17 years later it very important that I have a really strong core. I really appreciate the advice guys. I spoke to my friend and as of Monday I'll be going to the gym with him for a bit to figure out what the hell I'm doing. Cross fit looks like a ton of fun and will probably do some of that as well.

Holy hell you guys. I just started this program this week. I was doing my own version of strength gaining beforehand and had descent results but I have a goal to meet by the first week of March.

Started with Bench - 365, Squat - 455, Deadlift - 500. I am 5'10 and 225. There have a challenge where I am for the 1,500 lb combined weight club and not anyone has gotten it yet during this rotation or previous. Thanks for bringing up this. I have 4 guys trying it that I'm deployed with.

No I am in Southwest Asia. Thats about as close as I can tell ya. So somewhere in there.

Didn't really use a program before this. Did basic lifts with accessory ones with it. Kinda did the whole chest/triceps, back/biceps, legs/abs, shoulder/traps. Just doing my thing I started here at bench - 275, squat - 225, and deadlift - 285. So I've progressed a lil bit over the past 3 months. I was starting to see little to no gains in certain categories so reading up on this made me want to try it.

I think I would have got up and left. lol Also at the same time, the guy is 385 and is benching 500.

Right on! Wherever you are be safe man, all of ya:thumb:

Id say whatever your doing stay with it... F-me those are impressive numbers in a short amount of time.

I was wrong on his weight... He signed up for the same powerlifting meet as me at 325. Either I didn't here him correctly or he has a hell of a cut to make:eek:

I'm closer to a 2X bw bench than he is but 500 pounds on a bar is impressive no matter what size the man.

He prob is SHW, which is no limit on BW. 275 is the heaviest class before that so idk why he is gonna cut down to much unless he is competing based on wilks?

I know:D I was just messing around... He's enormous, know way he would ever make anything but SHW. Actually the big boy class is 264 and up as of 2015, USAPL anyway. My class bumped up to 205 form 198, which is good for me, I can enjoy the powerlifter diet a little more:D
