I reckon ill add on here, I tried my fiances pre workout called uptake from the new fancy over priced place called complete nutrition.. tastes like a jolly rancher:woott:and def gives me a good pump. Im bulking right now to my chest workout for instance goes like this

Dumbells:
100s (200lbs) 6-8 Reps for 5 sets
Flat bench flys 35lbs 8-10 Reps for 5 sets

Bench (45lb Olympic bar)
Incline 175lbs 8-12 reps for 4 sets

Dip Machine:
Weighted dips (45lbs added) 4 sets of 12-15 dips/sets

I will usually burnout with some sort of circuit , I started 2 years ago i believe at 212lbs i cut down to 153lbs! and now im bulking and currently at 195lbs:thumb:

Ya lol, most cable/pec deck machines are only a 1/4 of the weight...So if you had the pin in the 100's your really only pulling 25 lbs... Not all are exactly 25% but somewhere in that range, remember the pulleys give you a mechanical advantage.

And he still did a beast of a workout. I wasn't implying that he pussed out at all.

Im very certain you may have a pre problem:rofl:

Pretty sure your right.. However in my defense I hadn't had this preworkout in a while so I forgot how much to take.. Apparently it was to much, I'm still feeling it some.. And I took it at 5:30 this am lol.

The cable ones I use have different plates on each cable and i pin both at say 35lbs, standing. now the chest machine we have i can usually do the whole rack (260ish i think) with one arm at a time but that is a totally different movement then the standing cables i do, I cant remember the brand of equipment at anytimefitness right off though

Hate my inconsistency with squats.. Last week I picked up 225 and sat it back down, then dropped to 205 for my final set.

Today I did a 145x12 warm up set then got to work.
2 sets of 5@235
5x285
3x235 with 2 sec rest at bottom
Wide stance deadlift between the last 2 sets of squats and between single leg curls
3 sets of 8x235
2x6x325
3x8x235
Single leg curl
10x130
10x150
10x160
No single leg ext today, was a little 95# gal using it and the leg press so I skipped it.
Walking lunges with 55lb db in each hand one set of 10 steps each leg
Then core work
4x12x35lb plate on knee hanging crunch
Then all the other normal ab stuff.
10 min run to finish up.

Thanks!

I would be stoked to hit a 425 squat for 1 at the meet, let alone 3:D Nice work. Your Deadlift is stout as well:thumb:

Goals by the end of the year.
Make the Anchorage Powerlifting meet and compete at 39 years old, one year under the Masters division and stay under 195...
Bench 350+
Dead 500+
Squat 400+

So I was looking at when I started this thread to see how progress has been. Started this thread 5-30-14
Current body weight 209... A little heavy but making sure Im getting enough fuel.
Current gym lifts
345 touch and go bench. rep calc has me at 359 bench currently
385 squat. The one rep max calc. has my 315x10 at a 419 squat so I would say I meet that goal
475 deadlift... Pretty sure it will hit 500+ at the feb meet so maybe just a touch shy of my 2015 goal but close enough.

This is using Candito's 6 week program... I might be man enough to make it through Micks soul crusher after this feb meet... Maybe:rofl:
