Thanks Matt. I missed this a couple months ago with way less volume before the attempt. Legs are growing just need my back to behave, been a slow rehabAwww yea, thats a nice front squat Albert. :thumb:
Today was a "lite" workout
Squat
3x 285
3x335
3x380
3x455
3x455
First set of 455 was rough, that jump was too much IMO, I should have known better.
Good stuff in that vid, take them slow when your ready. Focus on the movements before the weightWatched the video today.
I am going to try and use some of the cues Max was talking about.
I may give it a try tomorrow but not sure if im going to squat yet, my lower back is still fried
Go easy Brock focus on the movement before the weight, High bar will feel really odd coming from low bar.I'm going to try and high bar 3s x 15r x 135, 4th set will be 15 and however many more to failure then a rest pause. That's my goal anyways. According to my squats the past 8 weeks I "should" be able to but we'll see at 5am

380 to 455 is a big step, I bet that first rep had your attention

Yeah at this point in my training, my focus is hypertrophy. High bar has never been a favorite movement, always low bar, but hopefully I'll get something out of it
Been out of gym for 6 months, having a hard time getting motivated and i am getting fat. If i could get nack to eating clean at least? So there is my failure, any words of wisdom?
I read a ton of stuff suggested by Albert and others in this thread. Alot of the diet stuff I read was craziness having you make these drastic changes which ultimately lead most to fail a diet. Can't remember where I read it at but best advice for me said start with small changes to your diet and work your way up.
For me that meant going from 2 20oz bottles of mtn dew a day down to 1 12oz can. After a few weeks I went to nothing but water. Then I went from pb&j lunch with puddings and such to grilled chicken breast, rice, steamed vegis, almonds. Lost almost 20lbs over 6 months and haven't looked back.
Albert and the other guys on here are definitely inspirational and will give tons of help along the way
