Leg day made me it's bitch! Apparently wasn't there mentally or physically. Gym was packed so my routine was all sorts of messed up. Music wasn't working right for some reason and I couldn't get my back loose for shit.

Had to try and use smith machine for squats which was pointless...doesn't feel right. Finally got to squat rack and all I could manage was 3s x 5r x165. 4th set I got 7 but was all i had. Last week I did 155 3sx8r and 1 set x11 and wasn't that winded, this week was totally gassed. Ground out some front squats, leg ex, Romanian deadlifts, and leg curls...gave up.

Lifting is one of those all mental things, gotta pull a hard reset when you get into a funk like that. Either way, there is always next week!

Spent yesterday rolling around under my brother's TJ doing a lift kit and what a nightmare that was. Woke up this morning feeling like someone used me for a punching bag...

But, the squats must continue

I've been in one of those funks for about 3 weeks now..only lifting on my lunch sucks..

Went to the gym full of rage this morning. Banged out 3x255 for my last set on the deadlift. Tried a 4th rep but couldn't move it. Lol Only 25 lbs away from pulling 2x my body weight. :woott:

In what prob was the toughest workout I have done in a long time, I hit the peak of the intense cycle.

Squats

5 sets, 5 reps, 430lbs

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck gravity and the horse it rode in on.:rofl:

Had to google cns, damn man that is absurd weight. Gonna go in the morning. Had 5 days off and I'm fiending for weights. Either chest/triceps or back, biceps, abs

Does anyone ever suffer from spinal hyperextension or what feels like super sore spinal erectors?

I have recently been high bar squatting/stiff leg deadlifting/ and smith hack squatting in the same session and afterwards for several days my lower back is fried

Everytime I bend down, my lower back is sore.

Not sure if i need to switch back to low bar or not

Mine is sore all the time...I've got to stretch and roll at least twice a day for 10-15 min, but I have a bad back so that's mainly why.

I would say low bar will torque your lower back more than high bar. Low bar has more forward lean than an oly high bar.

And Albert, I'm surprisingly doing OK cns wise, but muscles are all sorts of severely sore. Six more workouts then 505 attempt :D

cstephens93, I agree with what Matt said, low bar will put more into the low back then High bar. You could be over arching your low back, need to take some side videos.

First set of 455 was rough, that jump was too much IMO, I should have known better.

I'm going to try and high bar 3s x 15r x 135, 4th set will be 15 and however many more to failure then a rest pause. That's my goal anyways. According to my squats the past 8 weeks I "should" be able to but we'll see at 5am
