Maybe you should give it more than a week or before you start beating up your body again? I too go to hard to soon when I'm recovering from injuries

Nick, how low of a carb diet did you do that has your body messed up? What's messed up with you? Kidneys? Think I've heard that prolonged low carb intake can be hard on either the kidneys or liver? I thought you were pretty adamant against the consumption of carbs and all when you were doing paleo diet?

Just being inquisitive bc I seem to lose weight best when I eat clean AND keep carb intake at half my weight in grams or fewer. And where I don't workout (I know I know), my calorie intake has to be really low (at or below 2000kcals/day) to lose weight bc my normal burn/metabolism is extremely low/slow. :(

Mitch,

Let me give you a quick run down of my nutritional history.

05-2010: I ate like shit and drink A LOT of beer. got to 245lbs at 6' tall probably 40%=/- body fat.

2010-2013: Lost 95lbs by going to a pretty large caloric deficit with minimal exercise. I lost a very large amount of my body fat along with muscle. Basically skin and bone.

2013-Present: Found HIIT Bootcamp and paleo. I was convinced by 100's if not 1000's of papers and studies discussing the benefits of ZC/HF or VLC/HF diets. Paleo seemed the most logical approach to nutrition. I however started having issues with digestion... VERY SLOW and I was always cold... cold hands and feet i believe i was/am hypothyroid although my TSH,T3/T4 tests come back normal. I can also no longer drink ANY!!! alcohol without feeling wrecked the next day, tired very tired, lethargic, an almost kind of poisoned. I believe my liver has stopped functioning normally due to the lack of carbohydrates and overall calories. I also cannot have any coffee as the caffeine wrecks parasympathetic nervous system to the point of panic attacks. Basically im really ****ed up. So im trying to see if I can regain my liver function... Can you imagine having 1/2 of any beer and the next day waking up feeling terrible? Thats me. really shitty. I really love beer and good bourbon and tequila. So I still eat along the lines of Paleo in that its all organic and grass fed but my macro nutrient ratios have changed dramatically

I feel for you man. It's been over 6 months since I had more than 3 beers. Last night was my company xmas party and I had a double shot of fireball, 1 big black tooth brown ale and 2 small black tooth browns. I can tell I never drink because I feel like shit this morning and now I'm gonna go work. How we all did this when we were younger is beyond me, I'm dreading this day right now but I'll try and throw up some pics of what I'm gonna do. I'm sure it was "entertaining" when it broke

Ya it's pretty shitty. I still drink but when I do I just know the next day will consist of me being miserable and lazy no matter what. I've tested it with bland ass Coors Light, Kettle One and Soda water and everything else doesn't matter. A month ago I did manage to have one 7% pint of cider around 2pm and felt almost normal the following day. What's pretty weird too is that I'll have a few drinks go to bed feeling 100% sober and wake up shifty. Several smart people have suggested SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) still need to order the test kit...:( stopped being able to drink about year ago. Being sober sucks lol

The wife and I exchanged gifts this evening while little man was in bed. I'm pretty pumped about this. No more using a crappy one at the gym. I'm kinda pissed I did deadlifts today and not tomorrow lol.

Those are nice belts:thumb: If I wasn't so fond of my lever belts I would rock one.

Not sure if you guys know the rack tighten technique or not? Put the belt on, place the end against the rack, grab the rack and the end, pull back against the belt with your body while holding the end of the belt against the rack. Should be able to get it right around your spine eventually:rofl:

I got some wireless head phones, I-touch, and this beast https://kingkongapparel.com/shop/king-kong-giant/
