After some lingering tension headache symptoms after starting CrossFit I picked up Starting Strength over the weekend... Gonna start the program in a few weeks after I get the ok from physical therapy
Low bar squat 315x5 paused
Highbar 225x10
Front squat 135x15
Beltless conventional dl doubles up to 385
How come you squat both high and low bar? Do you feel it adds anything to your training rather than choosing one?
If you want to target both anterior and posterior chain, you need to do both. A low bar wide stance squat is relying mainly on posterior chain stuff, and usually cannot be done quickly. A high bar squat is more quad dependent and you can rocket those down and out of the hole. OLY style.
Thanks for posting that! I've never heard of low bar.. Something new to add to the workouts
Low bar will feel weird as hell until you get comfy with it. Not as easy as flexing traps and unracking
