So training at altitude was interesting:rofl: Salmon Idaho 3944 feet above sea level from 430 feet in Fairbanks...

Squats
barx10
135x12
185x5
225x6
275x4
320x8 wanted 10 but was sucking wind something fierce.
320x2
315x9x3 with 60 seconds of rest between sets up to 5 after that I took whatever I needed, we went to a dark place to finish up:D

Deadlift variation
135x10 4 inch deficit (couldn't find a shorter one, should have thrown some plates down)
225x8
315x5 sumo
315x5 std
315x6 straight leg
Cmon man it isn't that high. I live at 5300 and I can still lift. I used to run a mile like a crazy man. But Laramie at 7200 is brutal even for me

Dude, I used to ride @ a max of 6000ft here in Washington, then go to BC, or Mammoth! And have to compete in boarder X...F**K OFF! My muscles would be fatigued and burning by the second turn...you have to be on site weeks in advance to perform at you maximum ability when transferring from lower to higher elevations...

Your body has to create 2x the amount of blood to carry enough oxygen to your muscles, at 10,000ft, than it does at Sea Level...in terms of competing, you higher elevation guys really have an unfair advantage when you come down into more oxygen rich atmosphere!

Jason funny thing is I laugh about all these turbo threads everywhere because the same thing can be said about sea level guys. The turbos perform so much better than they do at 5000+. This is especially noticeable on naturally aspirated vehicles vs forced Induction.

But back to lifting...the last time I really sucked wind was climbing an 80 meter wind tower. We were at 7000 ft and then having to climb a tower another 80 meter kicked my scrony ass.

Lol, yeah man. I've had my share of experience at elevation with cars and with my own body.
I'm pretty sure an 80m climb straight up, starting @ 7000ft would kick anybody's azz, scrawny or not :thumb:

LOL

Last time I was in higher elevation was at Mammoth Mtn about two years ago, my older daughter was competing in a motoX there and we were doing some cardio/weight training in the hotel gym. That was a real eye opener...lifting weight at elevation SUCKS, especially for a low lander...you run outta wind fast and it takes forever to recover! I wound up throwing up...its pretty shitty what 10 years does to ya :(

Just spent 2 hrs doin work. Considering I have to work remotely hard using legs all day at work I tried not to totally destroy them but Def did a number on them. I'm sure you guys can give me some pointers which I will gladly take. Took some pre-workout and creatine mix 30 min before. drank some bcaa and water during. had a protein shake after. lower and middle back are feeling good and so are my quads. tomorrow and sunday probably will not though.

Wow that a huge difference on Lat pull downs. 250 down to 135. Curious of machines used and which you feel did better and more accurate

Who knows? I had 160 on it at first and damn near knocked my front teeth out when I pulled:rofl: Moved the pin to the bottom of the stack and ripped off 10 like they were nothing... They had another one in the other corner so I just moved to it, already set on 135 and it was harder to pull than 250 on the other... My guess is they didn't have the pulleys wrapped correctly on the other machine.
I live at 6500ft. You guys are lightweights.

Good thing your just prancin around... I would hate for some real weight to crush you when you passed out:D:hug: JK B

Dam that looks good. That's my problem,I cook and bbq alot. I love to eat to,the meat isn't such a big deal it's all the sides, especially during the holidays. I try to just eat meat, avacado, and potatoes alot, but all the breads and pastas tear me up.
