Got one mocked up in the boat to locate engine mount holes and check clearance for accessories. Now can order main heat exchangers and finish the plumbing.

Plenty of room towards the center between engines, but tight on the outsides. So here is where the identical twins looks will need to split.

Well if ya count his first bone stock engine, ah yeah.... But we must toss a 4th one in there for the broken crank. That 32 Sonic has killed more Duramax engines quicker than any pulling truck I know of. 12k lbs of boat + 6spd Allison + ASD8 drive is obviously a combination to avoid.

The center engine is the second PPE version to die a watery death. Two end units are just a couple FB swap shop cores he picked up in CA. That PPE block has about 8hrs on it, and scratched a cylinder wall when a piston let go. So I pulled the heads off the far pictured long block, it's headed off to the machine shop to get punched out.

Dave said screw it and tossed a pair of 350 outboards on her. At least if he blows one of those, now he still has one extra to get home on. His little 50hp outboard just wasn't cutting it as an emergency spare.

B will probably look nicer, but I assume A will be much easier to work with. I'm not sure how often marine engines need oil changes. If only a couple times a year, having to use a funnel might be worth the prettier setup.

Hell no on A -- too awkward. I would prefer B to be more upright, but it'll do. What is B off of?

Both ends of version A. :D

I was just amazed how tall that the factory tube looks without any accessories mounted up top. I could raise it an inch or two, but mainly wanted to turn it out away from the thermostat housing. The upper housings are going to be low profile with 1 3/4 outlets. One engine will exit to left, other engine to right. So a short and sweet fill tube fits the bill for both setups.

Those Yamaha 350's aren't much more reliable. They have crank walk issues...

Are those Dtech fittings? If so take those off immediately and throw them in the trash.

Go buy oem Bosch return lines. You will thank me later.
