With the common Mahle piston bowl configuration HP is lost with the modified spray angle found in the Bosch motorsports nozzels vers the stock tip spray angles in the D-max and HP is gained in the common rail Cummins when using the MS nozzels.

Did you learn the duramax side with your dyno tuning? If so i also recall you guys saying you made no tuning changes between swapping hard parts. Injectors with a different spray pattern can really be touchy with tuning.

X2, that is correct as we also tried different sets of injectors.:thumb:

I dunno. I was rambling on after a couple beers. :D

In the movie "The Last Indian", you just pour metal in your garage and file it when it cools to make pistons.

That was "World's Fastest Indian". Great movie by the way...I don't know how mechanically accurate though.

I need to get my clutches hung up with a sign that says "Offerings to the Speed god".

Ok, so if no tuning changes were made, how is it known that there is really hp to be lost with the different spray pattern and the mahle piston bowl design? Im not even sure if Tony got this info from this, but if there was no tuning changes, that wouldnt be a fair statement.

Im just asking as this could be good data... but only if taken properly.

Wade ive seen you post plenty of opinions, but never much usable info. when it comes to you or Steve, i will stick with Steve.Give up some useful info and im sure attitudes will start to change. Just saying this isnt the answer doesnt cut it. Put some usebable info out here. i beleive you know the info, but will you actually tell and help someone?
