forgot to take a picture of the load i hauled from dayton oh to timken in niles OH. but did get a pick of this.. no P3 in stock have the P2 in the 99 as well..

Is there really that big of difference between brake controllers? Like as far as modulation and sensitivity? Kinda interested in seeing if I can improve on my setup

what do you have now?

im bitching/pissed about the lack of braking ability the OEM version on my 07.5 LMM and comparing it to the P2 i have used for the past 18 months.

those buckets weigh ~2,000lbs and the trucks IBC is maxed out.. it will not lock the brakes up under a panic stop and has cause the trailer to shove the truck into a jack knive while empty. this current load.
i hauled with with my red truck with a P2 this is a 9000lb tractor. the P2 will lock the trailer tires up if set too high

the P2 is a enertia type controller. in simple terms gets activated when your brake lights turn on and judges how fast the truck decels via gyros to control the trailer brakes
the 07.5 IBC is activated via trucks brake pressure via sensor mounted on the MC then it to proportionally apply the trailer brakes in relation to the brake system pressure.

i have heard the '11s and newer are revised and MUCH better version. the later style is usually the better way to control the trailer brakes, properly working the trailer will not push/pull the truck when apply/releasing the brakes

What were you weighing when that happened? I am assumeing frame flex got you??

I had 2 casualties this last weekend with the big trailers. I had the 48' on the lb7 and the 52' on the LML

Swinging in the barn with 52' the sport chassis was parked in a shit spot by a barn hand tried to squeez through and turn around, trailer made contact with bed side crushin down on it and tearing off bed cap on the pass side and when it cam back down it crushed the tail gate.:(

Moved the sport chassis after that happened so I could swing as traffic was backin up on us, ran back to the LB7 to pull in did my turn went through the dip and toor my tool box off and took the exhaust stack off my welder:( Its only money right

I would throw 1/4 finder on and call it good on your LML.

Our LML will lock all our trailers up on hard breaking. Except our pental hitch 32' it has abs that doesnt work for crap...

15,700 total load is ~2000lbs.
LMM;)
fenders much like the red truck.. last week the money was on the 12K loads..i would have been able to haul them but couldnt. i turned down 5 above avg paying loads.
told the boss i'd give it a shot. on buisness stand point i find
1 pro looks good going down the road
1 neterual MPG didnt change
3 cons
1: empty weight went up less cargo i can carry ~700lbs
2: i'm climbing around on the truck for equipment, hooking/unhooking
3: DOT has no clear view of my safety chains, coupler latch or break-a-way cable to tell if they are hooked up or not.

the lack of being able to haul had a diverse effect on last weeks profits... throw this busted window in the mix and it has cost me ALOT of money for just looking good
