Are you guys launching soft?

Still trying to figure out how to get the brake, converter and turbo to get along and play nice... Its only got 5 passes on the setup. Conv. Needs to be a little looser, that would be a big help. If we get another pass, it will be with a 110 pill at 1/2 track, then possibly a full pass.

Josh.... T-400/hybrid converter 3.08 gear 29x10.5 M/T . Had a first delete vb in last week, but we went back to 1,2,3,OD

Ouch on the diff. What rear end were you running?

I was curious on the trans because we run a 4L80E with a t-brake in the van. It wasn't working last time we were at the track, but the trans guys are working on getting it figured out. How do you stage with the brake? Do you full stage and then activate the brake and build boost? Do you pre-stage with the foot brake and apply the trans brake after you are staged? Do you use a bump box? The new converter in the van is so tight, I can't hardly get much more than 1800 RPM out of it before the back tires start spinning when staging with just the foot brake.

Sorry for the massive off topic, but congrats on the runs.

3.08 Center section is out, 3.30's are going in. Also putting the 1st delete Vb back in to calm it down for now. First and only qualifying pass today will be on the 110 pill if all goes well. For those wondering, this is a stock suspension Chevelle with aftermarket arms, shocks, springs, full interior on a true 10.5" tire.

Josh- 12 bolt/33 spline... full stage, brake, boost. To be able to bump it in would be nice... We are letting the other lane know we are double bulbing them before we line up though. For now, that's what it has to be.

Time to upgrade some parts... Lost the Gear Vendor clutch one pass, and something in the Trans our last. All said and done, it was a great weekend, and going to be a fun learning curve.. Finished 6th in our class, lost to a 7sec tube chassis car with only three rounds to go.

Next event will be the SCSN four day race in Vegas mid Nov. Our Turbo/N20 combo can't be used per rules, so Triple 66's are in the works, along with a stronger Trans and Fab 9 diff. We should be up and testing in two weeks.

Almost time to hit the track again... A few V-bands to replace some boots, some minor details, and shes ready to rock! Rick ended up replacing the stock 12 bolt with a Strange 9" with a custom PRO 9.5" 2.90 gear. The Trans has also been replaced with a unit that should hold its own.. The Diff ended up being delayed because of SEMA, so Vegas was out.
