ok new thought

its not overheating its just air passing by the sensor, the air is what is pushing out the coolant because i can actually touch the coolant its warm but not scolding hot

NOW where is all the air coming from?

Wouldn't a leak down test show you if an injector cup was leaking? Also are you saying that you know you've got rid of all the air in the system and somethings causing air to be re-entered into it somehow? Somethings just telling me it's something very simple. Could be the devil telling me this, so maybe you shouldn't listen:D Good luck!!!

I know the air is out...there was just to much air entering back in
if its not the injector cup or the or the head gaskets the motor will have to come out:(

right now i want to see a cup lifted!

You still have to pull the cups and reinstall them don't you? If you have or think you have one lifted, that is.

So since we couldn't keep the boost under control with the first turbo....Simon wanted to try this one. May as well since it's getting torn down again anyway:D

Thanks for posting the pics Ted

the PPE spacer is not quite 2 1/2" and i could almost use 3"

that damn Y brige is HUGE and needs clearence:cool: also the boost line has to be removed and re-tapped i couldnt of picked a worse spot to tap it:rolleyes:

I am going to get some grade 8 ready rod for the spacer as the 7/16" bolts dont work to well,I should of known this and did read about some people having issues long ago
a person really needs to do research:D

that turbo is a s400sx with a 74.68 compressor wheel and 74mm turbine
5" in and 4.7 out and a 1.1 A/R
i also have a gt45 sitting on the shelf for later use,but if i decide to twin i will go with something bigger than a 45 and use the 400 as the lil guy

I also tapped the spacer for data:)but need to get some ready rod to install it and then fab up a down pipe

I am convinced that a 5" Dp would fit there is a lot of room behind the turbo and mikes dipstick is the shite:cool: Sadly I went with 4" as i didnt want to wait

as far as the rest of the motor I am waiting on guys billet hold downs and cant tell if a cup lifted? i will also check all the head studs

I just dont see how it could be a cup since all the cups where new heads where new and we installed them and tightened the injectors right away
cyl pressure could of never gotton that high as the tunne i made was low fuel and timing and never really went over 3/4 throttle.....atleast for more than a few seconds:D

if the block is cracked......ill be done for the year,as im loosing the momentum to carry on( and ill be pissed at the machine shop )

I simply have ignored friends and family to long on this build....and cant continue:(

Thanks:hug:

Any word on the coolant issue yet?

Travis
it wasnt ever over heating,it was cyl pressure blowing coolant out
hindsight DUH:eek:

when i craked the lid after over heating and it wasnt even that hot.....it all clicked;) you guys where right when you said it was air!,But it was cyl press air not that i didnt bleed it

I am getting some of the billet hold downs next week and hope that was the issue
