It doesnt seem to be air:( but there is a lot of pressure

HEAD GASKET imo:mad::mad::mad: damn i go through head gaskets!!!!
not sure if it was bad or something I did on the install I took my time doing it and you cant really put them in wrong as long as the holes line up

Not sure we will do a few tests tommorow but im thinking the heads will be coming off

OK blonde ? There isn't a way the thermostats could be installed backwards could there be?

its possible when GM rebuilt my motor they installed the 2 dots backwards
or actually forwards and made my coolant swing all over the place
but i checked that this morning Kat...Hopeing i scewed it up

In the morning I will pull the glow plugs and turn it over,If I see coolant spu out the heads will come off:( I just cant see any other reaon for the massive pressure and over heating

Does the engine seem to be hydrolocking on a cold start Simon? I can't see it being a HG. Has to be something simple, I hope:eek:

starts fine

Sounds like a head gasket on upside down or on the wrong side. :(

checked the tabs on the gasket and they are correct

thankfully i took pics of the build and zoomed in

also no coolant out of the glow plugs but i do have a lil fuel out of 1 cylinder

Have you completely narrowed it down to the cooling system?

Simon sorry to hear of your luck, I must of sent you some of mine with the parts. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any. That sure is strange, someone didn't forget to take out a rag or plug:rolleyes: that would be my luck..

Good luck
Jon

Ive thought oil heating up the coolant but that doent explain the low to no flow coming from the water pump bypass to the heater core

Ok dale ill try what ever Im also thinking to check the rad for obstructions just to rule that out also bypass the heater core
jack up the front of the truck to fill like we do with the sleds sometimes
move the coolant tank

could also try useing the washgun to finish the fill thru the 3/8s port on the upper rad and just turn down the pressure....maybee

it was a nice thing to see the pressure never dropped on the coolant tank today and no coolant coming out of the glowplug holes,,,,but im still worried its a gasket
