Matt, right now best thing to do is totally forget about the whole mess right now, have a strong drink, enjoy a nice Christmas and hopefully in the week after Christmas you can get it back, and head into a new year in style and leave it all behind. I wishing that for you buddy. :thumb:

Like you said its in PPEs hands and they will get it sorted out for ya. And I dont see Guy sticking it to ya if its something he did. :D

What we've got here is... failure to communicate.

Seriously. It'd be nice to figure out what's really happening. I doubt SoCal is to blame and I also thought the truck was running fine from what I read once hooked up to a proper power source.

Truck has as low as 50 psi of compression in some cylinders, Russ's bling bling oh la la custom intake manifold is a $1000 piece of shit paper weight that is warped and leaked beyond the point of fixable.

Im pretty much over it - I think it will be put up for sale if it ever runs correctly.

Sure one of the O-rings didnt get pinched when i put it in? I have seven (7) of them on trucks that all came out of the same LBZ/LMM jig, and work perfectly fine! infact, I have sent the same Jig back east to let another shop use it, and they had no issues as well!!! And get your $$$ straight, it was less then PPE sell's their Stock/modded bridge for lol. If it truely is warped send it back, and I'll put it back in the jig and fix it. Pic's of it on YOUR motor look like it fit to me! No gap's, and there are not even any bolts installed, check the O-ring ;)

Big Block 88- Not laying low, just dont have time to listen to kids pointing fingers when they cant even get a single story straight. It went from PPE fixed it and starts/runs fine, to oh shit now there are all kinds of problems... 1/8in gap in piping (wich a V-band would not go around BTW ;) )Injector pad causing leak, stuck valve, bling bling manifold leaks ect.

BTW-Matt, in post 908 you said the hot side small turbo pipe was touching the fire wall "unwrapped" and PPE fixed it & wrapped it??? Here is a pic of it wrapped when it left here ;) and plenty of room!

Hmmm, there def is some contridicting stories here. If i were you i would put a stock one on before putting on ppes so called race version. Its pretty much a stock one modded. But beings theres other ones that Russ built out on other trucks, and they are working fine, i would tell them to check the oring... you think they would check that themselves without rushing to sell you one of theirs?

So Cal.
Here we go.......

Easy money

There is nothing easy about this.. This job has been a huge problem/headache from day one. Seriously if this was not Matt’s truck I probably would have had the customer pick it up and take it to someone else...I know what he has been though on this build and know that this will all be worth it once all the issue are addressed....

No one is selling anyone anything until it is proven the parts that were installed/made can not be modified/repaired. We have not gotten the intake off yet to determine if its an o-ring or fitment issue, once we have that info we will move forward. The only reason we were able to find this leak was the popping/high pressure sound coming out of the gap at the bottom of the bridge/intake.

All of this work is being photographed/documented for the owners reference. There will be NO he said/she said.. Only facts!!!!

Russ,

yes area of the picture you show has it wrapped, but back buy the firewall there is no wrap.... See attached picture...

Wasn't meaning any disrespect to PPE just seems as this truck is nuttier than a squirrel turd and seems as though as soon as one thing is sorted out another breaks/becomes an issue. No idea where to even start on this thing...cause that not where the fixing will end. Did the truck hurt the motor to begin with? Or was it a "want" type build?

No problem! I did not take it that way....

Nothing has broken since it has been here...These are all preexisting issues that need to be delt with...

It was hard to diagnose all these issues the first time we got it fired, oil was pissing out all over the ground....Once we had seen the leak we shut it down and fixed the issues we caught in the short amount of run time. Now all those issue are fixed we are finding more/larger issue with the build...

here is a video of the popping/hissing sound of the engine.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_rDS5kDPds

had the same thing happen to a lly same sound everything yes it is a injector! not really pushed out but a broken o ring! just thought i would give my 2 cents on the sound.

i wanted to add just a little more went back at watched the video again, the o ring for the intake cant and will not make this sound, because it sounds to me,the only time it makes the sound is when the pistion is coming up on compression stroke.

to add more to why the intake wont make this sound, you should have boost "well a little bit" on the intake side,so if it was the o ring,in the y bridge,it would have the sound all the time. not a hit and miss sound.

now i have also had this happen, put the injectors in tightin them down and drive it,then it start making this soun as well, because it didnt seat good, just needed to tighten down a little more, this coudl be the same kinda deal.

again this is just my 2 cents thought it mite help the guys over at ppe,but i bet they dont need the help lol
