Because when you loose an intake valve, every cylinder on that bank gets a dose of whatever that hole is pushing back into the intake clams...
You just had some head work done as well, correct?
Don't take this the wrong way, you need to pull the whole motor. It's dead.
Pull the valve cover and see if a valve is dropped... If so you might want to get in touch with whoever did the work.
It would be my luck to have the machine shop have some kid put my heads together the wrong way. I mean I still have to look at it deeper. But i would not be happy. Maybe the next few weeks I'll get the head off me and by me I mean my wife is sick of this truck for now lol
It may not be there fault but sometimes things happen... If you know what to look for you can usually chase a failure back to it's root cause. I always like to no what happened so if possible I can prevent the problem from reoccurring.
If I were you I would pull the engine now. Its easy and makes pulling the head a lot easier and its pretty much gaurenteed your engine has issues so why not just take it out awhile?I'll definitely post up some more pics when I remove the head.
Definitely pull that motor, it's going to have to come out either way and it's 100x easier to work on when it's on a stand.
Garage time is hard to find with a baby without burdening your wife, been through that, have a 15 month old daughter...
Do you have a small garage or anything at home? If you pull the motor you could take it home and work on it there possibly...
Congrats on the new baby btw
Yeah well u would know. Ur probably getting good at pulling dmax engines lol. Sucks but I know how I run it and I probably deserved this:roflmao:Time for some kneepads :roflmao:
Good luck with the teardown, it sucks to have this happen right when you're getting excited to be finished.
