Because when you loose an intake valve, every cylinder on that bank gets a dose of whatever that hole is pushing back into the intake clams...

Pull the valve cover and see if a valve is dropped... If so you might want to get in touch with whoever did the work.

It would be my luck to have the machine shop have some kid put my heads together the wrong way. I mean I still have to look at it deeper. But i would not be happy. Maybe the next few weeks I'll get the head off me and by me I mean my wife is sick of this truck for now lol

It may not be there fault but sometimes things happen... If you know what to look for you can usually chase a failure back to it's root cause. I always like to no what happened so if possible I can prevent the problem from reoccurring.

I'll definitely post up some more pics when I remove the head.

Definitely pull that motor, it's going to have to come out either way and it's 100x easier to work on when it's on a stand.

Garage time is hard to find with a baby without burdening your wife, been through that, have a 15 month old daughter...

Yep I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old and no shop. So I'm not even home when I'm working on it.

Do you have a small garage or anything at home? If you pull the motor you could take it home and work on it there possibly...

Congrats on the new baby btw :)

Time for some kneepads :roflmao:

Good luck with the teardown, it sucks to have this happen right when you're getting excited to be finished.

I know this isn't a clutch thread but for those who have been following. I dropped the tranny today, motor is ready to pull tomorrow. My front disc of my clutch was backward. Causing only the rear disc to engage the floater plate making it not hold power. And the front disc looks new no engagement marks on flywheel or front of the floater plate. The input shaft teeth barely caught the splines messing them up a smudge. Might be able to file them and still use the hub. But also the pilot bearing fell out also? Don't know what the deal with that is. Anyway just an update I'll keep u guys posted on what let loose in the engine.

Basically the input shaft splines only slightly grabbed the clutch disc splines so no power could be transferred through, cuz it just ate up what little splines it did touch. So only rear disc was "working"
