I have known Steve Cole for 30 years. I met him when he first opened his shop around the corner from mine. We hit it off and became friends and did a lot of business together. We had some fun times and did a few projects together.
He is extremely intelligent and has been one of the innovators of diesel performance and gas before that. His products are great and well engineered and there are a couple I don't like and don't think they work that well but that is my opinion.
I no longer get along with him and we don't speak. I have respect for his ability and his accomplishments but the rest is private. I don't owe him anything and he owes me nothing. And yes I told you I flat out don't like you. And yes I would help you.

Haha. I can accept not everyone will like me thats just life. I dont see how you can say civil things about steve when you have grounds not to, and someone like vaz just goes off? The difference is you would help, he wouldnt. Hes kind of polluting the diesel gene pool. The sad part is there are alot of great guys with great trucks who avoid the internet because of people like him.

thats called age and wisdom... something in life it is just not worth getting mad over even though you could have every right.

mike is the better man. and takes the higher road.

there are severl people i dispise... but would help them out in their time of need.

I guess it just comes down to common curteousy (sp?). If DmaxV was so worried about it then he could have just sent Mike a PM to find out. Thats what I did a while ago and Mike was up front about everything. There was NO reason to make a huge thread out of it to make it look like Mike was in some sort of trouble with Suncoast. When it comes down to it, it was Mike's personal business and if he wanted to make it know then he would have done it himself.

Then what is the point of "public forums"? Virtually everything can be figured out outside of forums.

We still don't wave the ban stick around as much as other sites that I'm aware of. Some feel we don't do it enough. When you deal with people that love to be e-thugs, keyboard warriors, etc you have to adapt and we did.

sometimes it takes a timeout or 3.

You guy's are on your way.....;)

Yup. We are biased. I've said it before.

I'll say it again. We are biased.

Everyone is biased. The question is why. We are biased towards helping Duramax hotrodders.

Don't forget duramax "enthusiasts" and "diesel folk".:D

doesnt mean you can go and do anything you want and still get the respect that you where getting

Oh but some people can.

I'm one of them...I suggest you stop being a smartass...Although your sense of humor is beyond comparison, a little tech help now and again would be appreciated...

The recommended torque for the engine oil drain plug is 62 lb-ft.

I thought 62 ftlb was for the oil filter?

Or was that the fuel filter?

I do know that 62 lb/in is the spring rate of a transmission spring when you use it as a valve spring, and it will last about as long as a drain plug torqued to 62 ...

Maybe this why your high dollar engine can't win a sled pull. :frog:

I take it neither of you believe thats correct? Look it up. I have three different helms manuals that all say the same thing.

Im confused, 62ft/lbs is for the oil filter or the oil drain plug?? Does the high dollar engine use a drain plug or is 62ft/lbs the torque used to win the sled pull? I was confused when we brought in oil filter and trans springs but now a high dollar engine build winning or not winning.....Help
