been around long enough there bud :thumb: if you got issues with parts , theres a certain way you go about it to get it handled , and it aint like this .

nobody here is your "bud". and when one trys to go about solving issues the "right" way and nothing happens.... then other people should know so they dont have to experience the same crap. maybe its because im not letting him "bend over backwards countless times," but that is all you guys business, not mine.:thumb:

nobodys attacking you man...you stuck your nose in here to start with talking about installer error. if it was installer error i would think there wouldnt be several people having the same problem that have done this over and over again:thumb:

Has nothing to do with your opinion. I work on josh's truck and when you say that its installer error your calling me out. I know there are no installation errors and I dont take kindly to your blanket statement.

I didnt say it wasnt possible , all i was saying was that dan has helped me through countless screw ups , that were usually my fault . your the only one so far that has responded to me in a normal way , instead of getting all defensive and telling me to "get out , just get the hell out ". if you got problems with an alignment issue , then so be it . I can say that when i had a issue with my duel fueler setup , i called and talked to dan and dan only and we worked thru the issue and got it solved . It wasnt a big deal. my motor has seen the rev limiter more than i care to discuss , and hasnt thrown the belt , shredded the belt , or anything for that matter. if you want next time i am your way, i wouldnt mind stopping by and checking out the problem your having with yours and compare it to mine and see if there is something that just stands out at us:)

wasnt trying to say you or anybody else was dumba**es. Futhermore i dont take kindly to you saying i am so new to the game. Our trucks are not that different , no need and pulling the "I have been around for a while so i know more " card. If you want we can let it go. Or not its on you :thumb:

I have PPE dual fuelers and have installed a decent amount of them without belt issues. I have run without a rev limited and pegged the Tach beyond 5000 RPM more times than I can count. Still has the belt on it that came with my kit.

Travis, Jeremy, and Josh - I'm not saying that any of you installed anything wrong or that there may not be an issues with some of the parts.

On the other hand I have seen and or helped people deal with a handful of broken ATS dual fueler brackets and seen 2 broken ATS pulleys.

On the dual fueler subject I have heard that LB7/LLY pumps have better front bearings that take the side load of being in a dual fueler app better than the LBZ/LMM pumps.

first off, most people with built motors, etc will be running dual cp3s more likely then not, so i was just giving some insight on some products on the market and their relaiblity. i would hate for someone to to be using their "built dd truck" and be stuck on the side of the road with a shredded belt.:thumb:

Hm this is interesting because my built DD truck with PPE duel fuelers have been great.

I haven't had a problem yet with the PPE kit , but when checking the one on my race truck the pulley for the second CP3 was crooked , i cut the bracket and fixed it myself , even being crooked it never did throw a belt but i could see if it was a bit worse it would be possible , the only truck i know of personally that was throwing belts with the PPE kit it ended up being a bad tensioner , the kicker though is after it was replaced it still did it , on a last effort he decided to replace the tensioner with a OEM piece and not a auto parts store piece and it fixed his issue , not sure if this helps the guys having problems but something to consider any ways . Threads like this are IMOP not the best route to solve a problem , HOWEVER if the proper routes did not get the job done then some times it gets the company's attention and makes them give the attention to the problem , I have delt with Dan a few times and he was always helpful .

For the record, this thread started as a derail of Coker's DD built motor thread. I split it off because it took too much away from his discussion. I should have posted something about that in here too, but I guess I was hoping it would just die. It's not really all that productive, more drama than anything, which is why I didn't move it to a tech forum.

When you come into a thread and tell someone it was installer error when you have no clue, then you expect them not to attack you? Seriously? Common sence man... If you dont agree thats fine, nobody cares, but dont go and questions somebody elses intelligence over someones truck you have never seen because THAT shows a lot of character.

My ats kit has been flawless for 4+ years... but i really wish Kyle Micheals would have finished his kit, id much rather run that one that either of them. He had twin cp3s on his truck LONG before either company came out with their kit.

i dont have much to add about dual fuelers at all, but if you are shredding belts, put an OEM tensioner on. i had problems shredding belts at high rpm's for months....went through 3 napa/autozone brand tensioners and 2 sets of idlers before i broke down and dropped the $$$ at GM for an OEM tensioner.......havent had an issue since. So it might be worth a try to just put a OEM tensioner on. it fixed all my problems

so do motors without these crappy duel fueler kits with bad idlers and tensioners shread belts??? dont think so. unless its totally locked up or about to fall off. ive heard them sound like prochargers under the hood due to bad bearings and the belts still there. hmmmm. theres not a part on my pulley system that has not been replaced already and it will still shread the belt at high rpms

Your tensioner is weak. Ive done the "lose brakes/steering" at the end of the track due to a shredded belt on an old tensioner/idlers. Boy, is THAT fun.
IMO, even new tensioners can have springs too weak to hold the belts tight at higher rpms.
I may not have dual CP3s, but I can tell you that my belt moves 1-2 ribs every run down the track. Its the first thing I check when I get back to the pits. So yes, it can and does happen.

....not that any of that can help you with the PPE issues, but I thought it may be of interest.
