Why buy cut and coated pistons and head studs when keeping the stock rods? Are you planning on pulling the motor again when you bend a rod or keeping the power levels down and playing it safe?

buying a turbo or dual fueler are not in my future for a LONG time. i just want to run my race tune without having to worry. besides, im barely over the cost of a replacement motor swap from what ive found available right now. so rods just aren't in the budget right now. if i would of had to replace rods, i would of had to go with a swap.

Just sucks to have to have it rebalanced later when you do need rods.anouther 2,500 and you will not have to go back in it later.

went and picked up my motor today:happy2::nanawoot: got a fun taste of L.A. rush hour traffic:mad: on the way up there the freeway did a 75 to 25mph speed drop in a nanosecond, and as i was pounding the brakes and watching the truck behind me, i saw a tercel behind the truck swerve left and procede to ram the K rail!!! it was nuts.
anyways back on topic, tomorrow bright and early starting the shortblock assembly:D ill try to get some pics up tomorrow night. let the fun begin!!!!!
