what are you running for rods>?

lbz rods..
current hp is 250. untill the 4l85 gets built im not increasing HP.

goal is 360-400 fwhp with a non VVT turbo.. i dont see the point in increasing any more then that.. thus it doesnt warrent HS/MS/rods IMO.. have thought about valve springs and rocker shaft studs..
going from 4.63 to 4.10 gears.

installed oil temp sensor in the 1/2" npt boss on the oil filter housing.. pre cooler.
engine is a long block now... got a couple more hours worth of work and it will be in the truck.. late tonight

and im back... ~1100 miles i think i broke 10mpg on the last tank... first tank was 8.1 second was 9.1..

been pulling timing out like crazy.. up to 10* in spots to reduce the igniton rattle/pinging. on the part throttle where i usually ran 10-15* @ 2500 with no rattle with stock im down to 7-9* still little noisier then stock pistons... it was rattleing like a 6.5 under a load.. also as i pulling timing engine responded better still not snappy like stock was but i have a broke in engine and 45k to prefect the tune...

cruise rail pressue it 20k stock going to bump that up to 26k. it will allow me to get the fuel in there quicker and at a better atomization for better burn.. it was worth ~2mpg on my LB7 in cruise.

while driving.. been thinking the difference between stock and finger bowls... wherre stock has one big hotspot.. fingers has basicly two small hotspots allowing the fuel to ignite faster thuse creating the ignition rattle where the stock pistons didnt.. also anothing to note the bowls are shallower then stock as well making them naturally closer to the head
