Knees not past toes, and hip crease past knees. Simple.

More reps, more weight :thumb:

That's fair, but sometimes if your feet are at too much if an angle it'll cause the knees to hurt. And, if your feet are spread too far apart it'll cause hips to hurt. What works for me is feet at just shoulder width and at about a 35 degree angle, or a touch less.

When you squat down force your knees out. When you press the bar, push out with your knees. Low back bar works best for me as well, keeping the bar in a perfect verticle line in the middle of foot arch.

This is very typical Rippetoe, Pendlay form.

I do a 5x5 three times a week and suffered some hip pain, but corrected my form. No more pain.

I also make sure the weight is on my heels vs toes. Only time I have an issue is when I start to get burnt out. Form is key and sometimes when fatigue sets in form isn't so great but I just go down in weight. I believe my knee soreness is due to the fact that its been so Long since I've worked out. Going from nothing to a month of no breaks and crossfit is just a little much

Started paleo last night

85%/15% grass fed ground beef patties
Sauteed onions, mushrooms, broccoli, garlic in pasture raised organic butter from whole foods, red wine and balsamic reduction with avocado on top. That meal was so good my girlfriend and I did it again for lunch

Breakfast today was onions, spinach, and mushrooms sauteed in that butter then added 5 scrambled eggs and then some none added nitrate organic bacon. I can seriously get used to eating like this

Butter, Eggs and Bacon isnt part of that diet, is it? No dairy or fatty meats from what I read.

My sister was hyping the Paleo Diet constantly. Next thing you know, she lost 80lbs.

However, what she didn't tell anyone was that she got a Lap-Band. My aunt told me.

Absolutely 100% it is... Red meat and butter is highly used. Paleo is a high fat medium protein and low/no carbs. You need to eat fat to burn fat...

As far as diet, I got completely rid of wheat and all starches. Only carbs I have now are green vegetables and lentils. I cheat though...lol...once in a great while.

Reading "Wheat-Belly" did it for me.

Wheat belly is a great great book... People still believe the old belief that you should eat whole grains and lots of them facts are that you should not eat any grains period. Just one piece of whole wheat bread raises has a higher glycemic index and raises your blood sugar higher when compared to a snickers bar.

Thanks tom I'm really looking to "cut" and be healthier. I got a full blood panel October of 2011 so I'm gonna get another one in a few months to compare

Dinner was pan fried organic chicken with butter and extra virgin olive oil over an organic mixed green salad with onions, Bell peppers, broccoli, and spinach. Good shit

About 10-12yrs ago I did atkins (ketogenic diet) & lost more than 50 lbs in about 6-8 mths IIRC. years go by & I gained it all back PLUS 50 more until I was up to 305. That was 2.5yrs ago. So I started another diet (basically their liquid shakes & veggies) controlled by dr where all my vitals were watched monthly. That worked as I widdled down to 230 (I'm 5'10" with a medium frame & not a lot of muscle so that's still too chubby) in about 10mths. Since then I'm back up to 305ish. I'm starting a ketogenic diet again tmrw. Meats, eggs, cheeses, nuts & veggies are much easier for me to stick to than anything. Goal is at least 100# loss.

Any recipes would be appreciated!
