Did drop keys and lowered my shackles down the last inch to match. Doing drop keys is so damn easy it took me literally 10 mins per side once I figured out how they went in :roflmao: fender to floor is now 35" all around

Had a little too much fun Wednesday night playing with the bottle...

first time ever being towed :baby:

not sure what happened, but broke the turnbuckle on the intercooler tube, blew it off, hit the tire and bent some pushrods.

compression check said 5&7 were the bad holes, pulled valve covers and rockers, pulled all pushrods, found the problem. pulled front cover, cam gear fine, keyway straight. threw in all new pushrods on that side and started the truck, ran great.... dodged a bullet, ordered some cromoly ones from MA.

dropped the truck off to get the intercooler pipe repaired so I can make the track next Friday night.

Funny thing.

Took it out Wednesday night at 8pm, got home with it at 1030pm, went straight to the bar, got home at 2am, slept for 10mins, started working on the truck until around 8am.

The joys of being young and able to be up non stop

AFAIK yes, lml hold substantially more than any previous engines..in stock form
My biggest problem with is head studs and not doing a tq plate hone and catching a piston under a load. ~600.00 for head studs and end up with a split piston (because piston to wall clearance) and a ~5000.00 repair bill

How much do they run? Anyone think it's worth doing before gaskets go bad? My head gaskets were replaced by GM at 99k miles.

I got roughly 600.00 in parts, head gaskets, head bolts, ARP rocker shaft bolts and copper washers and o rings for the injectors. Also pick up some 10.9 m8-1.25 x 60mm bolts for injector hold downs

Darn engine been fighting the entire time took me ~14 hours to get the engine in front of the truck.usually have it out in 4 hours

I doubt you would have any significant change in piston to wall clearance to effect anything related to a cracked piston, as that's not the root cause to them cracking in the first place.

I didn't do a torque plate on my engine.
