A ? My friend has an 06 "lbz" lly tuning. He has the ppe standard on tune 2 (90hp) I have the mods in my sig on my 04 lb7, we had a little fun a couple weekends back, and we are almost dead even until I shift into 4th and then I just pull away from him. His truck has a 6" lift with keys cranked a little to clear his 35" nitto trail grapplers on 20x12 fuels. Im just curious

We did two launches, the first was a boosted launch at around 1500-2000 rpm If I remember correctly. And the other was just a pedal to floor no boosted launch

Maybe his conveter locks up better or his trans gets the power down more efficently. Plus 20 hp isn't much of a diffrence and that ppe probally makes more torque down low than the efi tune does...

IDK about on your truck, but launching at 2000rpm is quite a bit different than launching at 1500rpm in my truck. So which is it you are launching at?

Regardless, his truck makes about 50rwhp more than your from the factory. That plus 90hp ppe puts you all about even on power.

I doubt your wheel and tire combo are much lighter than his so rotating mass isn't any different. About the time his big sail in the air (lifted truck) starts to really effect him (top of 4th gear for you) is about when your advantage shows and as you say, you start to pull away.

Seems about right to me.

Im not sure on the exact rpm sorry, but both of you sound right on what you say. According to the stats, his truck with lly tuning makes 310hp and 605tq from the factory stock., I guess thats quite a bit of tq difference compared to the stock lb7! I failed to remember that part

Put in a set of Kryptonite UCA, a DHD lower control arm bracket and I am working on the steering brace and drop shackles.
