I have not heard of many triples rattling when they were new-including the old style ATS ones and I have never heard an SC rattle . But the 5 star rattle I have is louder than the engine and has been since new. If it did it when it was older then I guess I would have accepted it a little more as wear and tear right? Louder than the engine? Wow..haven't heard that before...doesn't sound right...

Bottom line is warranty is useless to me as I have to pay the shipping-which when crossing borders gets VERY expensive. This was the point some of the others have made about warranty being not worth the paper it's written on.I completely agree

While it started as an off-topic post, threads have a mind of their own.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread ventured into tech.

And since I spent my buck fifty at ATS, I'm going to post my results and opinions.

One relatively minor issue with ATS has nothing to do with quality control, it's marketing. There are a couple dealers of ATS stuff that get on the internet and proceed to insult as many folk as is possible.

Does anyone think that will increase ATS market share? Not hardly. It draws out customers who would normally keep their dissatisfaction private out into the public. That's what happened to me. I kept my ATS problem off the internet for a long time until a Super ATS Dealer decided to be a prick. Then I posted publically about my experiences and test results.

Pat, do you mind letting us all know who this super ATS dealer/prick is?

I'm not sure I follow how this applies to my post...

You seem to have a problem with this thread and why it is being allowed to continue. I read your reply and you seem to indicate that Pat, Kat and I are being paid to allow it. You said "most everything has a price Tom." Or were you trying to say something else? In my post I tried to tell you DuramaxDiesels.com stand on threads on what is allowed and what is not, that and nothing more.

And as far as defining what I consider stupid that would take quite a while as I have a VERY low tolerance for stupidity. Fortunately I'm an admin here and take care of it very easily. :admin2:

As far as a thread about Ben being banned from somewhere and going off topic to something else.... Well this is DuramaxDiesels.com and it happens, live with it or leave and find a site that it does not happen on. I'm not going to try and stop it since it would take too much of my time.

That sounds right. IIRC, he was claiming there was no issues with ATS clutches and calling everyone faggots, or something like that. Seems he brought a few customers out who didn't agree with either comment.

After reading a few threads over there, I ask myself two questions:

Why are Ben, MMLMM, Newly, Mike, Chad and what looks to be a host of other guys I recognize even over there? IMO, that site is hopeless, and if you're a paying vendor/member there, why are you tolerating the Mods acting like they are. Mods arent Gods.

Second: That forum is is also part of AutoForums. Why even bother?

I'm also a bit surprised that Pat and Kat allowed this argument between vendors to move over here. Whats the heck is next?
I thought we were getting away from that shit. Freakin embarrassing....

Tom, I was invited over to DF.com by customers that thought the members could benefit from my services.

Personally, I hear nothing of what the mods do over there, and only found out that Ben got banned on this forum. I didn't even know Ben was on that forum, as it seems to be a forum that very few guys from the dp are on. Maybe I should be more involved...? I'm sorry you feel that we shouldn't spend our time over there, but it is actually my job to, so that's what I do. There are a few vendors over there that don't ever give any information, I try to at least give some content without just selling parts.

Hes actually pretty cool, used to sell the cheap dual cp3s, has nice tie rod sleeves, and I know a fella with a danville charger and an ats by kyle that runs very nicely.

His truck is pretty awesome too:cool2:

Might be the same guy, but I don't think he has a truck. He was the first to duplicate the SuperDiesel sleeves and centerlinks I think.

You seem to have a problem with this thread and why it is being allowed to continue.I have no idea where you get that from as nothing could be farther from the truth. I have no problem with ANY thread running it's coarse, but you know that...so why are you saying this? I read your reply and you seem to indicate that Pat, Kat and I are being paid to allow it. You said "most everything has a price Tom." Or were you trying to say something else? I don't really need to say the blatant truth do I? I'm not a spaceman nor a rocket scientist nor are you and I doubt writing on the wall is illegible to you...In my post I tried to tell you DuramaxDiesels.com stand on threads on what is allowed and what is not, that and nothing more.I'll take your word for it...

Uh slick? This board comes nowhere near making a profit. I think Rob might make a whopping .05c an hour before personal expenses.

He helps run this board because he likes helping hotrodders.

I appreciate having Rob here helping with the site, and I think most all the members here would agree.

You should realize Rob does this for fun, and he is an owner as well as an admin. So if you decide to see if you can push his button, you're on your own.

Ya I know it doesn't sound right-but it actually works quite well so I have to live it with it.

I was told some do and some don't-but from what I have heard, almost all the 5 stars do.

Ok lets get this back Off Topic:D

When deciding what I was going to do with my trans I called Kyle. He was the most unprofessional and least informative and was rude on the phone to boot.

Stop right there everyone....did this guy really just say that Pat comes off as a TTS salesman??? My lord the world is at its' end, Pat Mcrat is a TTS salesman. I have heard alot in my day but this takes the pie. But while we are talking about whoppers, I also heard today on the news that Rosie O'Donnell lost 300 pounds on the subway diet. Who would have thought
