Nitrous for dummies?

that's got me curious to see if something close to a .30 jet pre IC on the same noid would put you into the 11's. Or would it be too close to the total flow of the noid?
11 MPH is huge.
To put into perspective, for us:
475rwhp = 105mph
635rwhp = 114mph
750rwhp = 120mph
I'm thinking you were over 150rwhp worth of nitrous.

That's about what I came up with too. I took a rough guess on weight, plugged it into a HP calculator, and came up with 440 on fuel and 600 on spray.
Damn that's even more motivation for me to hook my small kit up...nice work and thanks for posting it up.
Need to be careful with boost referenced nitrous shots.
Should it spray while staging, it can break parts (rare, but happens). Or at a minimum, it can push you out of the beams.
Having a dead man relay that breaks the circuit when the brake lights are on will be far safer, and allows you spray at lower boost levels.

Was this just a test or does this guy plan on running this setup for awhile? I am curious how long it will hold up sparying that much.
It started spraying in 1st gear not far out of the hole, well before the 60' beam.
Very true, Pat. This setup is set with a WOT switch. As long as he doesn't try to stage with the accelerator pedal to the floor, it should never spray while he is staged, but the brake pedal thing is a good idea.
He's gonna keep it on.
I like mine the old fashioned way. Arm switch and a handheld momentary button (think trans brake button).
What kit was this? Or was this all pieced together... I'm wondering how to get it set to auto spray at tps and stuff.
It wasn't a kit necessarily, just a simple assortment of parts. Bottle, lines, solenoid, arm, and a push button switch.
I like to be able to choose when it sprays, not every time I'm at WOT or above a certain amount of boost.
It isn't every time you're at WOT or above a certain amount of boost. It's only every time you are at WOT and above a certain amount of boost with the arm switch on. I like the automatic system better than a happy button.
So when you cross the finish line it cuts the nitrous as you lift the throttle?
I want the nitrous long gone before i lift.
