Use horn relay, spray it in the intake tube. Use small solenoid. No need for a jet. :D

That did not work very well at all a few years ago Pat. I seem to recall the :witch: laying on the horn while I blew her doors off.:joker::D:hug:
Man those were the good old days. If we hadn't stole your horn relay fuse,:secret: the :witch::bow: would have handed me my ass when I fell asleep at the line.

The nitrous kit is already ordered. It is getting a solenoid with a .125 orifice.

That's the size solenoid we used on my cousins truck, Josh. The kit came from PPE. With a .099 jet the truck made 689 hp. Nick did the tune so I cant share specifics but I know you need more fuel than normal and not as much timing. He ran a 12.24 with stock motor/turbo but didnt hit the button until 3rd gear. One very important thing is bottle pressure. Get a good bottle heater. We had one from Summit that plugged into the cig lighter and it sucked. Took forever to get to 1200º.

1200 Degrees? Man the bottle would melt. :D

I ran a .106 with a .125 noid. Timing was around 30 deg, 3200 pulse. All stock LB7 engine with lift pump. Ran it a long time like this and the engine looked perfect on tear down...However there is no guarantees!!!!

What RPM are you guys quoting your timing numbers? Is that maximum timing or at 3000 RPM or what? The tune I have in the truck right now is running 3250 uS pulse width and 32 degrees of timing at 3400 RPM (where I am going to set the shift point).

The kit I'm installing will have an arm switch, a WOT switch, and a Hobbs switch. I'm not sure what PSI I'll set the Hobbs switch at yet, but I'm thinking 25 PSI. This is the bottle heater we'll be using http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog/product.asp?category=23&section=76&group=560&product=2775

You're preaching to the choir!

If the shot is really big, or at fairly low RPM, it can "burst", which means the nitrous has cooled the air too much to ignite fuel. You can either back off the jet, or retard the timing to fix it. But nitrous doesn't cause detonation in diesel, no matter what the timing is. And backing off the timing a bunch will drop HP, and raise EGT's. 4 deg doesn't hurt much, and is a little insurance against bursting.

This. :thumb:

and watch EGT change when spraying big.

Nitrous

If you have a stock pump and injectors I don't think you can hurt a motor. You just won't have enough fuel to do any damage. I like to run pre intercooler with a std kit and run a jet just smaller than your noid size. Remember it(nitrous) will turn to gas at a restriction and then it will not cool as well. I only run 950 to 1000 psi also to keep it liquid and not gas and you will not see the pressure drop of running higher pressure. If you need more nitrous run a bigger jet not more pressure. If you want it to hit harder, run a shorter line. If you want it to hit softer run a longer line. No it's time to spray and prey!! Jeff
