Nitrous

In the cab is fine you just need to run a blowdown tube. I was meaning the line from the noid to the jet. The line from the bottle to the noid will not effect the hit. Jeff

I'm just mess'in with ya.

I know that. :cool2: :D

What isn't funny is that I saw some dummy with nitrous trying to heat his bottle with a propane torch at Numidia 2 years ago.

Fastest way to heat a bottle safely is warm water.

So piss on your bottle before each run.

However, don't try to help other racers by pissing on their bottle without asking. It's considered bad manners.

I've got a friend that does this.. lol...

It is kinda funny though when people freak out like nitrous is flammable and he is going to blow himself up.

Still... I would get a bottle heater myself :thumb:

Problem is he could be weakening the bottle if he gets a spot to hot and then, under pressure the bottle could fracture .crack or burst! Not a good idea

It's bad manners to hang loose in public; even if there is a good technical reason.

I'd like to try a lil spray but I drain the rail already with the single WD pump and 100s. Not sure if it would help me any.

steve seems to think it will help him even with a bad stock cp3 and a s472. ill bet the estimated 80hp jet he puts in really is only 40hp since most of the fuel is already bein burned with that big charger under there :D

Well, we got the install finished up tonight and played around with it some on the street a little to make sure it was working. Taking it to the track tomorrow evening to see how it does. Hopefully it goes well. The tiny LMM injectors are killing the fuel supply.

Ok guys, in the interest of sharing what I learned today, I thought I would let you all know how it went. I don't remember all the specifics on the tune, but if they weren't same as what I posted earlier, they were very similar. The only thing that might be different is a little less timing (I don't remember if I lowered it any or not).

Here's how the system was set up.

15 lb bottle with 1000 lbs of pressure (bottle heater was installed and in use)
-4 AN feed line from bottle to solenoid
.125 bottom outlet solenoid with flow through purge (with purge solenoid installed and used each pass)
18" -3 AN line from solenoid to nozzle (I didn't measure, but it seemed pretty close to 18")
Nozzle installed after CAC in aluminum tube pointed directly at the bridge neck
Set to spray at WOT with 25 PSI of boost (thinking about backing this down to 20 PSI)

Only one fuel only pass was made, but it did 13.00 @ 100 MPH

With a .062 jet, it did 12.34 @ 108 MPH

With a .078 jet, it did 12.09 @ 111 MPH
