I used Rust Check Stone Shield on the frame. Its from Canada.

Thanks for all the compliments man, I really appreciate it. I enjoy doing as much as I can myself

Got rained out this morning so I worked on it for a bit

Thank you!

Have you used it before on any of your other rigs? Do you known how well it holds up? One thing I'm curious about is if/when it chips if it would allow water to get under it and then allow rust to form like some other products I've seen...

I'm thinking of stripping my frame of the waxy GM protectant while the engine is out so your feedback would be very much appreciated!

Its easy to touch up. It dries rock hard and its really thick esp if you do 2 coats. 2-3 mils at least

Just need to swap out springs in the rear now.

I put the 8" Deavers in today and the rear sits way too tall now. Rear sits at 53" and front is 51.5ish. So do I take out some leafs or get 2" drop shackles?

Looks good to me. A little rake looks right. If you're gonna bring it down, use shackles. Those Deaver packs are soft enough without pulling more leaves from it.

By the pics it looks good. They always look better to me when leveled or a tad high in rear. The majority lifts seem like the front end is always 1.5 to 2 inches taller in front dragging the ass around. How does it ride?

DOOOOOOOD-

Matt, it's friggin perfect!!!
I think you just sorta got used to seeing it with the rear squatting a bit...
???

1.5" of rake isn't even noticeable, I've got 1.5" of rake and everyone tells me it's "level" and I'm like, NOPE!

Some guys like the "bulldog" look, with the front taller than the rear, I don't particularly like it, but hey it's your truck bud! I think it looks totally bad ass man, let it be for a week and see what you think after you've gotten used to seeing it this way, lol, that might be hard for YOU tho

Truck looks great the way it is, but I think it would look better if you got it back to level. Id definitely do shackles instead of removing leaves though.
