I think positive rear rake looks great on it man. Plus with deavers on it any amount of weight will pull the rear down quite a bit. The deavers I had on my 87 chevy ruined its towing ability, 500 pound pin weight had it sagging ass, stock springs would sink maybe 2 inches the deavers sagged 5-6 inches

Truck looks great. I would leave it as is for a bit and see if the springs settle any more. If they don't go with a shackle as was said before.

I had a quadrasteer Denali in 04, it was always acting up. Once it locked the rear wheels hard over to the right and I had to drive it for about a mile crooked. Good idea that failed...

Interesting, I know an old farmer tht buys nothing but quadras and he has no issues with is. And he pulls the corn heads and hydris tanks with them. He searches the internet for them, and swears by them.

Also there was a quadra steer dmax on ebay here recently, short bed reg cab white like these, but it had working quadra, I would be curious how that system holds up to the tq

Was it converted? I didn't think anything higher that a 1500HD came stock with the qudra

They are few and far between but there are some 2500 6.0's out there, I've only seen 1 dmax. FYI, the 1500 Denali had a tow rating of 11,500 I believe and had the hd version of the 4L90E. So it was basically a 2500 in its own right already...

He has had one 2500 quadra, the rest are 6.0 1500 hd trucks. This guy swears by them just spoke with him today. Says he has had one bad one, it had issues since new and it was a denali truck.

My neighbor has a 2500 ext cab 6.0 quadra steer they drive the wheels off of. Truck is beat to hell, has 300k on it, power steering pump is shot, fuel pump is going, cat is rattling, mirrors are broke out, interior is all but shot, a/c don't work, but the damn quadra steer still works just fine. When it quits running, I'm gunna need to snag it

Saw on Instagram that he was trying to get some of those color changing head lights. I think he is trying to get some of that color changing strip to out line his windshield/ windows. Always seems to be trying to find the next game changer.

Tip is dumped under truck.

Good idea that failed...

Sorry you had bad luck with yours, but the fact is that overall during its somewhat short production run, its an extremely reliable system that had zero TSB's or any other common problems.

So yours had a problem, ok, but come on dont call it a "FAILURE"...because 99% of them will never have problems. Anything mechanical can break, but statistics dont lie.

The only common "problems" with quadrasteer, are that people dont understand it and ASSume its failure prone (OMGZ the rear wheels turn, like thats sooo much more complicated than electric power steering on the front wheels that tons of cars have had forever) and/or make up stories about a brothers uncles mailman who had it blow up on him at 120mph and roll his truck into a bus full of school children.

1500HD and 2500 (non-HD) are the same exact truck. GM couldnt make up their mind on what to call it, so they changed the name between "1500HD" and "2500" several times throughout the years. Off the top of my head, 1999-2000 was "2500", 2001-2003 was "1500HD", 2004-2005 was "2500", and 2006 was back to "1500HD". Im not sure if there was a 2007 GMT-800 1500HD or not...

I dunno if it was marketing, or to help customers with registration issues, etc...? But yeah, they're (1500HD and 2500) the same truck. And NOT the same as a 2500HD or 3500
