Hey Trent are you going to silicone the side skirts???? I think that's a better mod than the ceramic on top, well according to Guy, unless your going to run nos which I'm sure you are then I suppose both might be in order, depends on the budget which I understand oh so well , Good job sound like your doing everything right, keep up the good work, :thumb:

Did the CC test tonight , so far my best guess for the stock piston is 39-40 CC , had to measure a piston inside of a motor ( leveled/squared up ) so not super acurate but should be within 1-2 CC i think .

The bowl of my cut pistons measured in at 47-48 CC's so Johnboys math was pretty good  , some were off by -1 CC(47) but i am going to run with it . Thanks for the figure Josh on how to double check it i really apreciate it

Cam and crank are getting cut wednesday so should be re-assembling this weekend , a big load of freshley powder coated parts should be here end of week also :coolspot:

Close to same as the last , but with a black block, keeping all the twin piping black , and all the acc's and brackets and things i coated are this color ( candy apple green with metalic flake ) , sorry Josh i know we both like the green but our motors should be pretty different sceme wise and color.

Hey Trent I have a silly question, why would u cc the bowl when the fuel is direct port and computer injected, and the air is let in by the cam lift and duration and the amount of boost, I'm curious cause I didn't do that on my because one reason was I didn't know about it. Thanks Dude:)

The only reason you CC test the bowl is to figure the volume of the bowl , according to JoshH's calculations we needed the bowl to be 8.85 cc's larger than stock to get the desired 15:1 compression ratio . from my testing today we were 7-9 cc's greater than stock so should be right on the money maybe 1 cc shy :)

That should look really cool. I saw the candy apple green in the book at the powdercoater's shop when I was in Idaho a few weeks ago. I almost went with that color for my twins, but I decided to go with the fluorescent green instead. That's the only thing on my engine that will be coated that color unless I take parts off and send them in to be coated. I'd actually kind of like to incorporate the color into more of the truck. I have a few ideas.

Anyway, I've gone far enough off topic. Everything is looking really good. :thumb:

I know your a big boy Henry. But there's five of us, I think my chances are pretty good. Actually we're leaving for Utah in the morning. It'd be good to meet you but the other guys are excited to get home.

lol have a better chance now. With the taxs and all and work I have went from 488 to 431 now. I hope to get out early and try to get home to work on truck to get it to George to fix what ever wrong with it then it's back to stock.

You could be losing a pretty good amount from the blow-by caused by having cylinders that are out of round - rings can't fully seat on cylinder walls that have 6 bulges in them. Jeff's main point is that while all of the little details may not add tons of hp, they all add up and can mean that .04 you won a race by, that 6 inches you won a pull by, or that 10 hp you won a dyno event by. And even more importantly to most of us - the extra races and pulls you made it to on the same build, or the extra 15,000 miles you put on your built motor.

IMO it is not you could be, but you will be!

Trent, I think you should really consider using plates. This is something that i learned the hard way:(
