I just sold my CoPilot and got my AllyLocker ordered today. I talked to Chase and asked him a few questions. He said for the 6 speeds there are several things that are user adjustable: accelerator pedal position, boost, and speed are all programmable. He also said you can adjust the pulse width apply rate for the converter. I'm really looking forward to getting it installed and playing with it in my truck.

It will unlock automatically but you'll want to run a switch with it to unlock your converter for an extra few feet at the end ;)

With this lock up controller, I see you can do a manual un-lock, but is it possible to do a manual lock up?

For example, when sled pulling I would like the ability to lock the converter when I want, and then un-lock when I want, without any of the limping I have to deal with currently.

I've read threw and not got a firm awnser yet will this lock up in 1st if you have the speed and boost under wot?

TCC in first gear would not help, in fact it would hurt. You need to multiply some tq before TCC will be effective. Be carefull what you wish for.

Thats what I thought after sitting down and thinking a little more about it earlier. May give my 2wd a shot on the sled in the coming year or so and just looking for options. Hoping I'll have the power to be able to atleast hit second by then.

Good luck with that. You're going to need a lot of power to carry 2nd if you're getting any kind of traction. That's almost like trying to carry 5th in low range (actually a little more difficult). Here's a breakdown of how the gear ratios line up for high range and low range (assuming stock 3.73 gears):

3rd Low: 14.31:1 (FYI, this is where most trucks pull)
1st High: 11.56:1
4th Low: 10.15:1
5th Low: 7.20:1
2nd High: 6.75:1

Technically you could but why would you want to? The controller will do it automatically based on your inputs. If you want you can calibrate it yourself.

Josh, We allow you to adjust the duty cycle at full lockup, but I haven't added the ramp rate to the software yet. I can do that though.

I'm going to make a new version of the software soon that will have two programmable outputs as well for water or nitrous or two nitrous stages. We're going to test this on Jeff Dean's (Stingpuller) truck.

If you can add the ramp rate, I would be all for that. I might never change it, but it would be nice to know I can. I like adjustments :D

I need to check and see when my converters locking up, this might be a good investment

its not hard to see if its not locking , i bet you could tell just by looking at a normal ECM log , you can see it by watching the tach(RPM) and how it settles as the truck goes through the gears . it gets easier to see the higher the HP the truck ....... the real way would be to log converter slip which i have done as well .
