Quickest indication of a blow-by issue is lots of flow out the oil fill. Pays to have a feel for what is normal.

I know theres decent amount, especially when warm and as of last 20k or so.

Ring gaps, regardless how tight, aligning themselves would alow for increased blow by and loss of efficiency.. least in my thinking.

Minimum is 300psi. Yet to have problems starting that wasn't glowplug module related. And Fires within couple revolutions of the crank
Ups should be here by 5pm est

its warm out. my truck with 300-330psi on most cyl and 250 on the bent rod would fire right up too. only way i knew there was an issue was the awesome heavy haze of smoke it made.

if your not seeing compression number higher than me, something is for sure worn or wrong inside. btw, that was with .026-.028 piston to head clearance on fresh heads but still 41k on engine. a few thousand miles after break in when i first built it, i saw 370-380 between all cyl with .030 P to H clearance.

Im .007" out with B gaskets iirc should put me low .030" clearance..

Part of me says swap A's in next time i pull heads

i would. but that pth shouldnt change compression numbers much at all. least not enough to put you down to mid/high 300s.

That's quite a bit more than my built motor, and way more than before I built it with 300k miles. That doesn't bode well for your rings.

Good luck getting the right adapter for your compression test. I'm curious what you see.

Sorry to see this happen.

Swapping As in vs staying with Bs that are currently in tge build.. think you read that wrong

Digmax
Delo 400 or delvac 1300 are the oilsi use

No I worded it confusingly. I ment regardless of the hg you run, you shouldn't see compression lower than mine

Video of blow by at 190°ect and 200°eot

Does the oil cap dance around when flipped upside down and covering the hole?

Passenger side
all glow plugs in while doing the test
8 pulses/compression cycles each cylinder.

1: 360
3: 350
5: 300
7: 310
Getting ready to do driver side.. though 6 pack says ill see similar readings..

Id be alot worse off if i kept the original block fleece did with .006-.008" ptwc or what ever it was.. vs insisting on keeping everything tight
