A wider stance will be more stable should it get sideways again... Sorry Russ I just couldn't help my self... the Camaro is looking great man two great cars and I can't even seem to get one going...

Yeah the narrowed mod diff was included in the purchase of the Nova, even though it was a leaf sprung 10.5" tire car back then. Even though it was narrow, the front tires were still even with the rears. The new diff will definitely fill the wheel wells with the same tire/wheel package. If anything it will look cleaner haha. Figured since I needed a diff for the Camaro might as well put a wider unit in the Nova.

Tom Russ's Nova is a wicked cool car and it is looking like the Camaro is going to be even better, if they don't make it out your way you should come out west to see them run... I can't wait for next season:thumb:

Day 4 progress on the Camaro chassis. We skipped our fab day last week, as both Cole and I both had jobs to get out the door. Back 1/2 is pretty much wrapped up other than a couple small braces.

Definitely amazing how fast it's coming together, no doubt. Even with things slowing a few times a day because of customer walk ins, and it becoming a conversation piece haha. Best part about it is all that tubing, fitting and welding, only one piece was cut wrong :woott:. We have been putting off the front half, we are not looking forward to the tricky suspension angles :baby:

Day 5 on the Camaro chassis.. Jig'd up, and knocked out the front suspension and steering today. We were not looking forward to this part, but it wasn't bad at all..

Great progress.

Are those brackets that the ram is attached to the final setup? they sorta look small but then again, I guess you aren't doing a lot of turning with a drag car. :D

Same for how the coil overs are attached to the frame, kinda looks small. But maybe that's all that's needed for a race car?

Believe me, I'm not being critical at all. I know you all know what you're doing and I wouldn't even have a clue how or where to even start. I'm just looking and thinking out loud. Just curious is all. :thumb: Appreciate you sharing the build. These kinds of threads are my favorite.

The upper shock mounts are not fit yet, just used the gussets to hold it in place for now. The tube will actually be fit directly to the adjustable upper shock mount. Now that everything is in place and set, we can fit that bar. As far as the rack, that's all standard Promod/tube chassis parts (minus a few braces on the back side not installed yet). The weight of the car will be pretty much the same as they are. It will end up looking like the pic below.

Day 6 we got the dual frame knocked out plus a few gussets. Chassis is about 99% fit other than the two front motor plate tubes and the upper mid plate bar and strut bracing. I'll be bringing up a mockup motor/Trans next week so we can fit the rest. Also bringing the body up so we can get a jump on mounting it.
