Ya all are hilarious..

What's really funny is our own US military is ordering these engines deleted by the thousands, and no one has questioned that yet..

Reminds me of this cop I followed once with blue lights blazing, right until he pulled into a Domino's pizza. I waited outside and ask him, "is there a hostage situation somewhere?" No,, I didn't think so. "How about an escort home with that there pizza then?"

What I find funny is about 3 months ago when one of our trucks hit a stump and broke the fuel cooler we had to wait a week for one because there were only three available on the easy cost everything else was straight to production line... yet ppei/motor ops and everyone else jumping on the bandwagon is buying/selling e41’s buy the dozens:confused:
Why are there so many extra controllers?

Funny isn’t it.

They’ve been doing that for years now. It’s insane

TX of course
Would anyone here want our members of the military life depending on a supply of DEF or a functioning emission system?

Nope.. Our military isn't known for being very environmentally friendly to anyone. Ask your Marine buddies about the depleted uranium rounds, and why you don't mess around with things they targeted.

But it's the overall principles issue to me...

Yes, but did you read the manual, it's like 99,000 miles to go before reduced speed, when they run out of def.

What happens when one of us has a failure while we are trying to get to a hospital under life and death situation? We're screwed. Guess it's tuff shit.

I thought ambulances, fire trucks, etc had a bypass button or some such thing. I remember reading about that issue several years ago and thought the EPA put out some exemptions for emergency service vehicles.

I'll see if I can dig up that article

Edit: here is the EPA article: https://www.epa.gov/regulations-emi...nal-rule-heavy-duty-highway-program-revisions

They just shut off some DTC Codes and a few switches.

Mostly the POS Systems that are prone to failure, as in all of it................:roflmao:

i heard if you happen to be in a situation were you cant get DEF fluid, as long as you dont shut it off you are still good. When your 400 mile warning runs out as long as you are running, all is good. Shut it off and re-start you may be in limp mode

^^^ That’s the way the LML worked, I know from personal experience. The L5P, OTOH, transitions en route.
