Sorry to hear, Kevin. Its always a risk, and not one you look forward to. Are you going to be able to change out the H/Gs yourself?

I was getting 40 to 44 lbs out of that turbo when I was running it.

Isnt that the turbo that took out your engine, too?

i am starting to wonder if drive pressure blow's more HG than boost ( not really even shure if it affects cylinder pressure:confused: )? and not shure on cyinder pressure variables . i am still trying to answer why i have not popped a gasket yet @ 55 psi , and others have on much less  , better not curse my own luck .

sorry to hear about your failure kevin :(

shhhh..dont let the diesel gods here you saying that. I think we're all starting to realize that you just cant throw XX timing, XX boost and XX fuel at these motors and expect them to live. Some like less, some like more.

Hey man can you just understand my frustration when I just found out you were using my tune? Or at least most of it. That's all. I went out of my way you didn't ask me I just offered it. Pretty rude to say it wasn't worth a shit.

 lets move on no hard feelings

I didn't mean it but you blamed the HG on the tuning and the PW and timing I'm 99% sure are the same and were not touched. we just adjusted some torque limiting tables to prevent it from defueling.

I apolgize for not giving you any credit in my times but I relied on Brandon to get the truck running right and like I said there is still some flaw in your tune that wont allow it go past 85 in 4wd so it didn't work on the track.

I think you could have helped me more after initially getting me the tune but for what I paid you cant expect great customer service:rofl:

I agree. All im saying is you dont even realize the work thats in that tune. If all you had to do was change torque limiting tables you have saved yourself years. I dont ever ask for shit helping people.

Sorry to hear that kevin..
If you need any help you have my number, i dont mind driving halfway to flagstaff for you.

Thanks Brian,

I am leaning towards going back to the stock turbo I need this truck to last me 3 more years. I want to get a car to have fun with when this is paid off or go crazy with the truck but I don't want to have a broke ass truck I can't afford to fix that I am making payments on. I have pushed it pretty far as a Daily driver on a limited budget.

Yes Tom thats the turbo that was on when mine went south. But I had the lucky LBZ piston. And I was spraying it hard before that turbo went on.remember the 1st year at smokin with it on the dyno,When I hit the bottle on the dyno and you guys thought the trans was going to come out sinceit only had a transgo jr and 1057.still made 550rwhp and 12xx tq on a .62 jet

i still diagree that timming and fuel have anything to do with this one . 2900 usec and 26 deg timming is as safe as it gets for tuning !

Well Something is making it smoke just cruising down the highway.

How can I know for sure

It is greyish but turns black with more throttle. The only times it doesn't smoke is at idle and when I am decelerating

Where do I go from here there is no coolant in the oil?
hard to tell. flush the coolant and see if it does it again. mine turned like this after i built the twins last june. do you have head studs? i am still betting on the injector cups leaking

No studs.

The smoking is the main problem. I am not as worried about the black specs in the coolant.

Checking balance rates wont do any good because if there is low compression do the a HG leaking the injector will try to compensate. Correct?

I wouldn't mind spending some money to get it diagnosed but I don't want to take it to the dealer and get reamed
