okay we have a blown head gasket or bad injector sleeve.

Would the soot in the coolant be able to get in from a sleeve.

Because it multiplied 3 times in 80 miles

I'd go with a bad injector sleeve first. I would think if the head was lifting some coolant would puke out the overflow at some point under boost. I could be wrong though.

How hot was it? If it wasnt hotter than normal you might have a hg issue but I think the cooling system can also get pessurized from the injector sleeves if it goes bad I belive but Im not positive.

temp stayed fine

I am just wondering if it would be possible for soot to enter the cooling system from an injector sleeve.

as i explained on the phone head gaskets and injector cups are very hard to figure out. when i tore into mine i had cups and head gaskets ready so that i could get it done with out ordering parts.

let me know what address to send the injector cup puller to.

soot has the posibility of entering from cups definatly with out a doubt and this is probably your problem. did you put a bottle on your over flow tube? if so is there any coolant in it?

No not yet The overflow hose looked completley dry truck has been siittng for 2 hours and hose is still rock hard.

I would need to order studs so I would be out $650 bucks if I ordered those I also don't want to do the gaskets with the engine in the truck.

I hear you have to replace injector cups or can I just reseal them?

Headgaskets blown on a 04 almost never happens but neither do injectors cups on a truck with the original injectors.

I will be wastegating the turbo if I have to do heagaskets and going to a .95 A/R

you can reuse the cups if they look good. make sure you get all new orings and copper gaskets. look at your valve cover gaskets are any leaking? and i would go ahead and start with the cups and if it turns out to be head gaskets just pull the motor it wont take much longer since everything will be off the top of it.
