It's loudest in first it's pretty loud but you can barely hear it in any other gear don't know if that tells anybody anything else lol but it looks like I'll be pulling it back out.

I'm not sure what to make of your 'It's loudest in first', but while I'm no Mike or Evan, I've built two Allisons - (the first I ran for a few weeks and sold) the second of which has been in my truck at 450RWHP+ for at least 5 years. If you're getting 'some noise', my guess is something's not right....

The only 'noise' I've ever heard from my truck is from the power steering pump.

It sounds like a power steering whine but it's from the trans you can tell and yea I'm guess if it's making noise then something is wrong inside

To start off I am in no way a trans builder. I have rebuilt a few 4l60s, 80s and 42res, but never an allison and if my trans shit the bed, I would take it to someone who will BUILD it. And just a guess as I don't know the allison that well, sounds like a pump whine to me.

Like mentioned above no one was there to know what you have or haven't done. Wether it be assembling the clutch packs or slipping seals. I know you have your pride you want to hang on to but if I were in your shoes I would pull it and have someone more knowledgeable than myself take a look at it with you.

That's probably what I will end up doing anyways there's a transmission shop down the road from our shop and he does all the transmission work locally he has built several allison before

So if that's a pump whine that loud there's a chance something went wrong with the pump could that not cause me to drop lone pressure and then it slip like it did?

There's a good chance you messed up something in the pump. Before driving out, you should always check the transmission pump pressure. Low pressure will cause slippage, sometimes sloppy shifting. You may have set the clutch clearances right but I believe your pump isn't up to spec. You probably burnt your clutches by now.

It's only slipped twice and and it was 2 different clutch packs and it was the a bad slip so I'd hope they arent ruined that quickly

While not common it's not unheard of to have a brand new bad internal filter that is restrictive and can cause a whine and horrible shifting characteristics due to low pressure.

Did you take the pump apart to make sure everything is okay or you just left it alone and put the boost valve in? Evan, it's possible that the filter could be plugged up from lint from the rags? That if he used cloth rags to wipe everything off.
