Ya thats very true....My goal is to have a dd that can run 10's. I wanna beat anything and everything thats on the street lol

Honestly 11's would satisfy me. I just want to do a motor build and have my truck pushing 700 horse which has to be good for a high 11 second run and not have to worry about the motor near as much.

You have already stated you think idaho robs truck is pretty sweet, why not add twins and build your trans. For $7000 you can run 11s.

Wait a second, isn't there a twin turbo truck for sale in the marketplace or perhaps that was on dp.com but I thought it was idahorob's truck or maybe one of his friends truck.

I would get out of school first and get a good job.

here's your one stop shop to get you into the 11's

http://atptrucks.com/category.sc?categoryId=39

twin turbo - 5200
suncoast IV - 2780
airdog 150 - 499
shim kit - 15
cognito braces - 216
spring clamps - 40

You've already got the exhaust and efilive so you're looking at a grand total of 8750 for parts to give you an 11 second truck. Rob even claims to have three years on this setup with a stock bottom end and no head studs. It seems like a no brainer to me. The truck you have is the equivalent of a 69 camaro. I don't think you'll be happy if you get rid of it. This is all just my .02

The MPI twins are a great product based on customer feedback.

However, I've personally seen 5 of the setups (or bigger) you just listed run before. Not one of them ran 11's, and this includes Rob's truck. One was even stuck in the 13's.

It would be like me promising that you could run 11's on a HTT or GT40 with a second CP3. Sure you COULD do it. But few have.

I'm still not convinced that twins by themselves create magic air. It's starting to look more and more like they obey normal physical laws.

You want to run 11's? Most reliable way so far is with either nitrous or a BIG single. That is GT42 or larger.

i agree , if i didnt have to still tow heavy loads i would have went with a gt 42 instead alot less money and equall performance . but the twins will do both if you got the $$$$

I know every track isn't the same just like your truck at a low altitude would have gone faster.

OK so he'll be good for 12's.

How streetable is a gt42 or bigger? can you get away with one cp3? The guy stated that he wanted to run twins. That was the whole reason for wanting the dodge.

btw.....I do know of a truck with MPI twins that runs 11's. It's got more work done to it than the very simplified parts list that I posted up but it runs 11's none the less

I think it's all about what you want to do with your truck as far as twins or a big single. Twins is more money but is more usable as day to day use in a truck for pulling and other truck uses. A big single can go fast but dual cp3's added in makes the cost go up even more. Either way keep the dmax and mod it.

No, I'm saying it didn't when I saw it. There is a difference.
I'm pretty sure I haven't personally witnessed a twin Dmax get into the 11's yet. Except I guess when I was driving last week, but those are BIG twins.

I didn't mean anything by my post Pat as in you saying Rob's truck really dosen't run 11's. Maybe I should have worded it different but talking to a person face to face and typing it can come across different than the way I intended it to. Either way I'm sure this year there will be more than a few mpi twins in the 11's as Russ is knocking on the door. Back on topic. KEEP THE DURAMAX!! Only thing a 5.9 is good for is a dyno when modded. We don't race dynoes!
