Well could it be in the ecm or possibly a bad ground still I'll go threw the grounds again. I checked the bail connectors looked fine no loose pins

Also if it's open I shouldn't be getting 11 volts checking threw the plug I can check between the hot and ground and get 11 volts and hot to signal and get 11 volts. So? I know I'm at a complete loss here

If i unplug it I get a p0340 which is cmp circuit code so it's seeing something

ok so lemme clarify what i think your saying.

testing ground ohm's, you get OL if one test lead is on the ground wire and the other is ???

with one test lead on the ground and the other on the voltage reference side, you have 11v

where does the ground terminate at? the ECM or the block or the frame?

Cam sensor grounds in the ecm

And yes if I ohm from hot and signal wire to ground it reads out of limits

And yes if I put a lead on the hot in the plug and go to ground in the plug have 11v if I have it on the hot in the plug and go to the signal I have 11v also and have 11v if I go from the hot on the plug and ground it on the engine 11v

I'm going to check all grounds one more time see what happens but short of pulling it all back apart and pulling my old motor apart and swapping the cam reluctor wheel I don't know what else to try

what i posted above lol

no, not in the ECM. find the pin that shares the cam ground that enters the ECM. put one lead on that pin, put the other lead on the plug end for the ground where the sensor plugs in.

if its OL, you need to start hunting for a cut wire. if its really low ohm, its probably fine

brown/wht wire (i assume the one you are calling ground) is C1 connector, #73. the pink/blk is C1 connector #61

I'll check the lb7 on the stand when I get home tonight... I just got the f-ing balancer bolt out, holy sheet that thing was tight.

I'll check those out see what I get did anyone see anything wrong with the reluctor wheel on the cam? I have the correct wheel on the crank and I'm not getting a crank sensor code anyways

it looks fine to me but my memory sucks. ill look through my thread for some pics

I'll check the lb7 on the stand when I get home tonight... I just got the f-ing balancer bolt out, holy sheet that thing was tight.

lol a harbor freight 1/2" breaker bar and a jack handle on that bolt make for one heck of a spring loaded lever :roflmao:

pink hot wire runs to C2 connector #44. sounds like all those are good though... i would suspect something to do with the incorrect air gap or something then jake. or ECM. if you can borrow another one, id try that real quick for shits and giggles
