If it's the harness it should be running terrible when it happens. Doesn't it shut off a group (2) injectors when one in the group isn't making connection? IDK everyone I have seen that needed the ice pick treatment would shake the cab it would run so bad

why would you ever turn off all the DTC's? If you have a proper tune the only ones you should need to turn off are P1093, and the obvious EGR codes. And VVT codes since you have a 475.

was having a phantom limp mode issue and I was on my way to the track and the only remedy was to shut off all DTC's haven't revisited it until now... The 2 are not connected. Trying the "ice pick fix" now

ive had a hole in my connector for 120,000 miles, and 5 years...and I live in a LITTLE harsher climate than you. :)

It will be fine nick. Either that or you can buy the expensive 'repair kit' from the dealer. Basically just includes a new connector with wire on it, and some heat-shrink butt-splice connectors.

that expensive repair kit from the dealer has issues as well. i had it done and just under two years later i still had to do the ice pick trick.

You dont have to by the kit, they sell the individual connectors separately. Well Did you pick the connector, or just ur nose?

I went and bought a scratch awl last night I can't seem to get enough force to go through the connector I'm holding it against the manifold heat shield and I wasn't able to get nearly deep enough before the tab on the shield bent.

huh gee whiz sounds like my truck, although according to simon im full of shit and its all in my tuning, and LLY's dont have weird/unique tuning issues. You wouldnt by any chance be running my 'flawed' tuning, would you nick? :)

My issue was different... Under normal driving I would be limited to 60mm3, 10* timing, and 1300 pw. Reflashing would momentarliy fix it then come back, the only way to "bypass" it at the track was to disable all DTC"s. My tune keeps a constant 120mm3 under WOT

Ok well I did the ice pick fix and still the same code... and +15 at idle. The connector was ridiculously tight going back in so I assume it should be making a good connection now?. Any other suggestions?

Did you check the FICM harness for the infamous rub spot on the bracket near the alternator? Maybe a bad FICM?

And just an FYI, a +15 balance rate would mean it is trying to add fuel. If the injector was stuck open, it would be a -15.

CEL went away but is still showing up when I scan for codes...
