nick I would look for a spare injector just in case. It might have fixed itself for now, but I bet the problem will return sooner or later.

Ok so this might help out someone if this happens to them... #5 was throwing a P1235, #5 balance rate was +15 and the engine was shaking and multiple injectors were rattling. Drained fuel, added 1 qt 2 stroke, and 5 gallons of fresh fuel. Drove pretty hard for 5 or so miles injector unstuck then would re stick. Drove to the station, added 7 gallons more fuel. Proceeded to make a 90 mile trip to Sacramento Raceway, truck had little to no power, knocking, rattling, #5 balance rate would go from great to 15 intermittently. Stopped and picked up some Diesel 911 added half the bottle to whatever i had left in my tank. Proceeded to drive the last 5 miles to the track and truck was still driving awful. Through the day I kept starting and letting it idle for 5 minutes at a time and shutting it off. So when I went to drive it home I didn't have anymore rattle of shaking. Good thing I saved my Safeway fuel, they will be paying for new injectors and to have my fuel system flushed. I also think its time to run some sort of water/air separator

Glad you got it figured out. Bad fuel really scares me. We have our own bulk tanks at home and I try my best not to buy fuel anywhere else.

my injectors were getting a little loud and you motivated me to change my filter and add some marvel mystery oil and some power service to the tank....

here's what i found in the filter, just a little water.....

I have a pump and dual filter setup that Im building in the evenings after my real job. I'll post some pic's when i'm done. It will stop the water problem without a doubt.

Nick, stop buying your fuel at the grocery store! You wouldn't buy your lettuce from Shell would you??

Seriously though Nick I'm not sure I would blame your fuel 100% as causing this problem. I would take into account the mileage/year of the truck plus the fact the injectors have been operating on more than one occasion at just slightly higher than factory pressures and PW's and at higher engine rpm's than stock which I'm pretty sure Bosch never really designed them for. Sounds more like accelerated wear and tear due to operating conditions to me......just normal hot-rodding related issues.

59,000 miles and they started sticking closed shortly after I filled up? The claim has been accepted by insurance and a complete replacement of the fuel system is underway ;)
