We are screaming thru the ranks. It will get tougher in the months to come though...Some of those guys in the low ranks are pretty serious about their "rigs" and have well built teams, not to mention have been folding for years. We shouldn't be discouraged, as long as we keep on adding members, hardware and staying consistent, we will be low ranking in no time.

Just ordered a new setup a little while ago. This is a pure folding setup. 1 GTX 460 to start out, as soon as I have it setup the way I want I'm going to start adding additional 460s. The board can handle up to 6 if I decide to get that stupid.

Thought about it, but the 460 and 480 are VERY close on PPD. But the 460 is $150 and the 480 is $500. So I can get 3 460s for the same price.
my 480 runs at 1175 once settled(on dual monitors).....the 460 runs at 750-ish....i think what was said.

Seems to depend on the WU being run. On the EVGA site a lot of guys are claiming 14000PPD for the day with the 460 and the 480 right about the same.
(can't find the list right now on the EVGA forum(I've been drinking))
I am basing mine off the ns/day.
I really need to start reading more on the PPD.....cause I have no idea what that is.

The 580 is coming. What it will actually do is anybodies guess.
The GTX460 overclocked at 825mhz makes 13-14k PPD reliably. What I read is that the GTX480 is putting out 15-16k overclocked. Being 3 times the money, it just doesn't make sense right now. It will drop like a rock when teh 580 is released.
Now for gaming, the 480 should smoke the 460, but for FAH it's better, but not by enough to justify the cost.
It appears to be working fine, it says you've finished 12 WU's so far, which agrees with the FAH stats page.

Supposedly the GTX295 is turning out 14-16k in stock form but it is power hungry. Here are frames per playing Crysis.
There are some crazy farm builds out there. Was close to 300k a day a year ago and has since been expanded with another 32 cards.
