big block dont worry, I took 2 days to show anything. Around 2 weeks later and im moving up the chain, and racking up some points and WUs for duramaxdiesels.
thanks guys I was doing this on my own tell I had to wipe my laptop due to illness. So I was just wanted my points to go to the site. Though I know it is not all about the points...

Really, think about it, each WU could be the one step they need. The points and all is just a way to get the competitive people like us to get the job done. The coolest thing is the fact that you and I, average schmucks are helping really smart people find the cause or even a cure to a disease.

Looking through " Terminal " -tail of the process for folding on the linux box I came across this. Also, I fixed the unknown argument, I had a fat finger in there.
Anyone have any ideads? 10 percent is an hour saved if it's repairable.

Are the new GPU WUs more stable? My main rig has been running over 48 hours straight and not dropped down in PPD. Usually after about 12 hours, one of the two cards will drop to half. It happens more quickly if I raise the overclock.

My are more stable. But I also removed my PCIe extender cables. The cards are very close to each other but I have a 140mm fan sitting right on top of them for cooling (besides the ones behind them). I don't know if removing the cables did it or they did something to WUs.
The newer work units are designed around the GTX460 instead of the GTX480 like before. It's possible that those changes eased up on the GPU loading.
Well. . . I found some deals and ended up pulling the trigger on a multi-processor build. I probably should've waited but, hell it's only money. It's a quad Socket F and I really wanted to find a quad Socket G34 but it'll have 24 cores and do EVERYTHING I need to do.
I only have $600 in it now with just the RAM to buy. I am ordering it this week when I get around to it. I should have a loaded rig for just over a grand which is a great deal considering TigerDirect sells the board I got for just under a grand.

i'm now pretending i didn't see that last post.... must save for for trans rebuild and not throw a grad or two at a new system for the hell of it. (read that as wanting a build a dedicated folding machine)
The computer I built for it started having major issues (hardware). Just have not replaced the it with something that could fold.
I quit last summer (or was it the summer before?) when my computer started heating up my room too bad. Kept meaning to start it back up, but ended up getting into video encoding, and that keeps the thing busy now.
