Besides, we're a TEAM!!!

Seriously, it kind of sucks that our daily contribution is far higher than most the top 1200.
I think they should go by PPD instead of total points.

my laptop has been workin hard on these work units and im still in last place:(

Thanks for your help! You are still helping medical science and the search for new cures.

The "points system" is grossly unbalanced.

They altered it to attract certain kinds of computers for some jobs they want to run.

A Playstation would do about 6000 points a day if they leveled the GPU field, but they have plenty of PS3's running.

A average computer (2.4ghz, single core) running the normal client would be worth over 1000 points a day. A 2.4 ghz 4 core makes 4000 running the special jobs.

But ALL the jobs are important, regardless of the points.

It can take a day or two for the changes to show on a PS3 it seems.

Sidebar, about "points".

At the level we are at, every 100 points moves us up 1 notch on the list.

We need notches. :D

Is the console program any more efficient than the systray program with a single core CPU? Also I'm considering a graphics card, my computer has a PCIe slot but I think its a 1.0, not sure. Would that hamper a 2.0 cards performance significantly?

With a single cpu, you are going to be running in same mode with console version as the system tray version. As far as the graphics card goes, do you have the motherboard model number?
