I'd like to note that this is purely my typical "Dodge Sucks" smacktalk, and not a tech discussion...

Were all the trucks truly street trucks and not "shop trucks"?

I think the California Dodge is 100% real deal, but I really don't know.

I remember last time I ran against a Street Dodge. :D

It could not travel further than 1/4mi at a time, and needed an assistant with you to start it.

From what I've seen in person, a 1000HP Dodge at the same weight is equal to a 700HP Duramax.
I can't say for sure if the 12 valve Dodge that won is really streetable or not. He did pretty good on the mileage test, 19 something I think. I know that the 2nd place common rail is streetable. He drives the thing quite a bit and even uses it to tow trailers and stuff for his business. I'd say they were both at least as streetable as Nick's built motored Dmax.

Curious as to how Char's truck cheated?
I didn't say she cheated; I said no comment. I'll just say the rules were bent slightly so she could continue in the competition. Her truck was very impressive.
Barry said Char got 3rd. did she get 2nd or 3rd? sorry about the 30 ft., must have heard something wrong. should write this stuff down when people tell me it over the phone.
Yes, she got 3rd and Al got 2nd. It was late when I wrote that. I fixed it.

I was told one truck was allowed to be repaired for 5 hours while the others waited for them.

I guess that's a street truck. You drive it to the store, then repair it for 5 hours, then drive it back. :D

Yep, and then when it still didn't make it back in time for the competition it was allowed to compete in the event it missed.

Did anyone know where Tomac was for this years "competition"? The others showed well and congrats to them but wouldn't it make sense to have the title holder compete again.

I assume all the "repairs" were done by the driver?

Certainly it could not have had a pit crew, right?

That perhaps is a big advantage of buying a Dodge:

Option Code 7YT - Pit Crew

I'm not sure why GM doesn't offer that. Maybe they don't need it?

Each driver was allowed to have a crew of three, but I don't know how many of them were working on the truck. It was taken to Industrial Injection's shop for the repair.

Life must be nice at the top. When we are out of state competiting, we are fixing things in motel parking lots. :D

I don't know if its about life at the top, but more about the exposer for the guys who helped out being in the pages of DP mag with a pat on the back. Thats not meant to be a slam on Industrial Injection or the people that helped just the way I see it.
