you sure you were on the way home from work, and not happy hour?

i wish. i was driving a haul truck all day and was trying to decide if the whistling i was hearing was
A)in my insane head
B)my broken eardrums screaming at me
or
C) my truck.

Ive eliminated choice C, but still not sure on whether its A or B.

Thanks for the clarification Josh- When I saw the 1st place truck in person he was running nitrous still. I also reckon when he was in Diesel Power mag sometime last year, he was still running it. Not sure how long ago that was though. Impressive truck none-the-less.
I just wanted to clarify, since I reread my post and it isn't really clear. The 1st place truck was still running nitrous, just not 3 stages. It was a single stage, and I don't think it was a huge amount as he said he was turning it on and leaving it on as he pulled up to the line to help his turbos light.

Oh, and Josh, do you know what #'s Al put down on the dyno at the challenge?
I'm not 100% sure on his dyno numbers, but I believe they were 89x hp and 14xx tq.

And it was funny to see Nicks truck in my hometown on the way home from work without knowing what the hell was going on. Not laughing at failure, everyone fails. I didnt say I think it is funny that he broke his shit, just funny that I saw him in Reno, on my way home from work in a half stupor with my ears still ringing from all the equipment. Take it easy guys this isnt the dieselplace...;)
I didn't think you were laughing at Nick. I figured you meant it the way you explained it. I was talking about this:

. . . and the one I saw spit its drive shaft at Bakersfield haha . . .

Stuck in a P7100 world.
Thanks for the heads up on the first truck. Must be runnin some big arse twins if he's needing n2o to spool em. As for Al's truck, pretty impressive, wonder what levels all his programmers were on- Back when I saw him dyno he was still trying to get the right setup (last summer) and best he could pull was 750ish hp tho bout same tq #'s...

He was having trouble getting the turbos to light on the dyno, and he had issues getting rid of the rev limiter. Both were factors in his low numbers. He got second on the dyno; he was beat by the 3rd place truck which was spraying a ton of nitrous.

I tried talking him into bolting in a bottle, but he wasn't having any of it.

Rob has some serious tuning capability and I think it would be shocking to see what he could make that truck do with a little spray.
