1st was Chris Werner (Cummins 12 v)
2nd was Al Babineau (Cummins CR fuel only)
3rd was Charlene Dreaver (Cummins CR)
4th was Jeff Dean aka Stingpuller (LBZ Dmax)
5th was I don't know the guy's name but it was a Ford with a Cummins and an Allison
6th was Nick D'Amico in his built motored LB7
7th was Rob Coddens aka IdahoRob (Twinned fuel only LBZ)
8th was Jeremiah not sure of his last name in an (fuel only LB7)
I'm not sure on who got what after that

Charlene Dreaver didn't put 30+' on the 2nd place truck. She put about 21' on the guy in the Fummins. But they did hold up the trailer tow drag race so they could tow the truck over to Industrial Injection to replace a headgasket, and then they let them compete in the event after it was over and they were running exhibitions to kill time before the dyno started. The truck was also driven by Barry of NADP on the dyno, which is against the rules. I was a little disappointed in that, but no event is perfect.

Jeff ran a 12.3x I believe at 111 mph, and his pull was 250' on an absolute shit track. I was thoroughly impressed by Jeff's performance at the event. He's a top notch competitor and a hell of a nice guy.

Oh yeah, Rob ran a 12.46 at 108 (ET may be a hundredth or two off). He couldn't hook to save his life. Most of his 60' times were in the 1.9-2.0 range (he usually cuts 1.6x 60' times). His trailer tow time was 12.27 at 61.08 (Jeff's was 12.22 @ 61.69). His Dyno was 565ish hp with 1060 tq. Fuel economy was 23 something (Jeff's was 38 running compressed natural gas). His sled pull was 219'. I wish I had taken better notes :D

So rumor on the street is that the Dodges were cheating?

Wow. Excuse me while I die of "lack of surprise".

Basically when the Dodges realized the Dmaxes were competitive, instead of just working harder, they just pull a scam.

But like I said, it's a "fun" event. You really can't take it serious since it's a Magazine Test, which are a commody for sale, not actually testing. :D

I heard one truck claiming 38? mpg. Let me guess, towing 80,000lb uphill at 85mph with a flat tire and the A/C on? :joker:

Uh, does anyone have a pry bar lying around so I get my foot out of my mouth? :D

Seriously, I think mileage needs to be reported accurately in Mag Tests. It will show we can turn these Dmaxes up to insane levels and maintain mileage and 100% streetability, whereas the "max effort" 12v's can't.

I can tell you the first two position Dodges did not cheat. As for the third place Dodge, no comment.

I'd like to note that this is purely my typical "Dodge Sucks" smacktalk, and not a tech discussion...

Were all the trucks truly street trucks and not "shop trucks"?

I think the California Dodge is 100% real deal, but I really don't know.

I remember last time I ran against a Street Dodge. :D

It could not travel further than 1/4mi at a time, and needed an assistant with you to start it.

From what I've seen in person, a 1000HP Dodge at the same weight is equal to a 700HP Duramax.
